So both Bushes are out of the race now. One got busted for something and NASCAR has suspended his license indefinitely. The other was in a nasty wreck and smacked the inner wall today. Drivers aren't happy as that wall isn't a promised safer barrier.

I believe Kurt had beat up his girlfriend last year, so they've been investigating it for a while. Grandma told me earlier about the suspension. She also mentioned that Kyle was in bad condition after the wreck, but I'm not sure how bad. I'll watch the pre-race show tomorrow and see what they say about it.

Just heard that Kyle has a compound fracture in his leg. Another driver, not sure which, is in hospital after the wreck with a blood clot in his lungs.

First caution of the 2015 Daytona 500 is at Lap 21, #20 blew his engine and left fluids on the track.

So there's been a little car bust up on Lap 43. Several cars, including Tony Steward and Matt Kenseth, smacked the wall. It's kinda hard to explain exactly what happened, but someone zigged when they should've zagged. Tony's car appears to have suffered the worst damage.

There was a lot of 3 lane driving all the way form the lead in the last 15 laps or so.

Right as Logano won, there was a big crash in the rear, started by the 24 car (can't remember the name right now, woop :I ).

Jeff... What happened...

A late caution sent the race into overtime (green, white, checkered). On the restart, Gordon got shuffled into the middle of what quickly turned into another 3-wide pack. Then, after the white flag came out, it looked like the #3 of Auston Dillon, trying to make it 4-wide in the back stretch, got into his left rear and spun him sideways into traffic... Race ended under caution, but it looked like Joey was going to win anyway. Unfortunately, instead of a nice top 5 or 10 finish for his last 500, Jeff ended up 38th...

I kind of wish it was the Daytona 250 this year... Jeff was perfect through the first half of the race, leading the most laps (86 total laps all day, which was the most for him in a single 500), including the halfway point lap. After that, he got shuffled back to around 10th for a good chunk of the race, getting caught in the middle of 3-wide traffic almost the whole time. Everyone was surprised by how much 3-wide racing was happening during the later part of the race, including a few times of 3-wide battles for the lead.

So yeah, exciting race (especially when it looked like Jeff might make a late surge to the front a few times), but disappointed with how it turned out for Jeff in the end...

But hey at least he won the pole.
