I saw that commercial before I retreated into the other room to play Persona Q. Everyone else failed to like it. So did I.

Also: iPhones are shitty ways to access the site.

I heard there were a few. I actually didn't watch any of it (meaning I missed commercials, too), but I heard there was one about a kid drowning, and another heart-shredding one.

No, but what I did see is the protest on Pit Road over the new qualifying rules. This year there's several rounds of elimination style qualifying laps. The field is divided into two groups, the first of which had the wreck that affected five or so drivers, ending the day of at least one person after his car was totaled. The second group of drivers spent about 2.5 minutes piled up at the end of Pit Road, before moving off to finish the 5 minute round.

This is the new system they started using last year for qualifying, but the first time for the Daytona 500 qualifying.

I thought it was pretty exciting at first, now I'm not sure what the fuck I'm watching... First it's a waiting game, then it's a mad dash, and just now.... Almost a catastrophe as some drivers were slowing down in front of others going around 200 MPH.....

And before you guys starting thinking that's a ballpark number like it often is, the cars are actually achieving 200 mph and a little bit more this year.

Also gotta laugh at Tony Steward's new nickname, Chunky Monkey.

And the protesting continues with cars staying parked on Pit Road with just a minute left on the clock.
