So yesterday was that 24 hour race at Daytona. I watched a little bit of it and noted that the EcoBoosted car was in the lead (and that there were two racing Corvettes being bullies). That car has the same engine that'll be put in the Ford GT and I found a video of the race car's impressive performance, though at a different race event at Daytona.

So I learned that Jamie McMurray was not only participating in the race, but was one of the drivers for the EcoBoost car. And said car came in second overall, despite having suffered collision damage from a fluid spell from an earlier accident.

For the beefy powerplant, yes. It's the next gen version of the EcoBoost Line and the line is already highly notable for it's performance. For example, the largest engine in the line is the 3.5L V6. That engine outperforms many street legal V8s.
