- Day 13:
- Day 14:
So jokool's large army is on the move.
FINALLY A GAS ORDER
So pending the finalization of a treaty/truce between me and jokool, Bismarck has begun the three day journey to the coast of Italy.
So since jokool has shaken my hand, Bismarck continue on her way. This also matches up pretty well with the production schedule of my first bomber, which I started early this morning.

- Spoiler:
So close to having enough for a bomber....
Eh, may as well use more goldmarks to get it. I'll go ahead and speed up the production as well.
HOLY CRAP!!! That attack range is huge!
*tries to send it to Sweden to attack*
Forgot to screenshot it, but something seems odd..... It looks like it can only attack while an Aerodrome is in range?
Guess I better build one real quick:
*also buys more oil to build up his factory*
I only had enough money to build it up to level two, so I decided to build up my fortress more with what I had left.
I think I'll cut waaaaaaaay back on goldmark spending now, seeing as I have around 30,000 left.

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- Spoiler:
Time to get bombing!
I don't really understand how that works, but I like it! I can take out half of Sweden with just this bomber!
I guess it's supposed to be representing a bombing run, with the area in the circle the maximum distance the bombers can fly to and back. Still thought I'd be attacking directly though and not at such a large distance, or there'd be a flying to and from the thing animation or something (maybe there is, and it just takes a while? (or maybe I'm just over thinking things again... :P)).
Um.... Okay, it's not letting me load up the cities, so I guess that's about all I can do for now.....

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- Day 15:
I'm starting this day off by building a new airbase (fuck the official name, I'll call it whatever I want) in Zurich. This way my bomber will be able to penatrate deep into enemy airspace.
Hey I thought all of jokool's fortresses were Level 5, does that mean someone blew up the one in Portsmouth?
In other news, I only have a division ready to go. I'm going to need much more than this.
Let's see... 18 times 5 is 40, plus 22 and that's 62.
Hmm.... That just might do it, plus whoever I can get out of the training schools.
Where the hell did I go wrong in my math! O_O
I thought I would only have 62, but now I've got nearly double that.
Well I thought I should increase my food stocks because of this army group. Only it cost me more pretty pennies than I thought
So now there's not really anything left to do but wait.
I've decided to start my invasion at Turin, then take Milan, Venice, Bologna, Genoa, Florence, Rome, Naples, Brindisi, Reggio, Palermo, and Cagliari in that order.
Note I haven't declared war yet, Bismarck offers powerful support for the operation and she is virtually untouchable. Even with a harbor, troops take an hour and thirty minutes to take to the seas, giving Bismarck time to pull back. Battleships are also faster than transports.
Really the only defense against battleships, besides other battleships, are railguns. Railguns can fire as far as they can see.
- Day 16:
It doesn't seem like much has happened in Sweden. Perhaps jokool bit off too much for him to chew. Though by this point I would expect that Sweden is running low on units.
*looks at jokool's most recent post*
Holy shit, he actually did run out of cash. I usually don't let myself go lower than $50,000 if I can help it.
I believe the time is right to declare war on this "Holy" country.
Also jokool apparently has beaten me to the punch of having the first bomber. Oh well, I've got much more cash and double the goldmark, which gives me an edge.
I've got another artillery unit now. It will take ten hours for it to reach the rest of my forces.
I'm torn between expanding my railways and saving up my resources....
*after a while*
I'll save up.
- Day 17:
My first bomber is finally completed. However it is useless to me in Hamburg.
Oh. I've still got half an hour left.
I'm impressed it only takes 6 hours to move to Zurich.
The fight has begun and troops are already on the move.
And the first counter attack has begun. Hurry up Bismarck.
So I've been monitoring the events during school and things are already quite interesting.
Much of Italy's Northern Forces have gathered and are now most likely headed for Bismarck. Curiously the Pope left Turin undefended and for a time, Milan was also undefended.
So far 4 units have fallen to my invasion force with 3 having been killed with Artillery. 1 unit was killed by my bomber, which is returning to Zurich for more bombs. Bismarck has so far destroyed 5 units, which was the force sent to attack Bismarck earlier.
Here are my experiences and thoughts about the bomber. Their range truly is incredable in this game. However a mission to the edge of their range and back takes nearly 5 hours. If at any time a mission is aborted, then the aircraft must return to base before attacking another target. So if you change their attack orders in flight or "reset" the orders, the aircraft flies all the way back. They also don't seem to use any gas, which I thought would be an operational cost.
So Bismarck just made her hourly attack (all units can only "attack" once per hour) so I'll pull her back to give her some more room to work with.
So Bismarck claims another unit. And it seems I've discovered a bug with the bomber where it is teleported back to base if the target is attacked. It was halfway there....
Chalk 5 more up for Bismarck!
Also I was hoping Turin would be mine now...

Still haven't quite gotten enough to get all my fortresses to level 5. Most of them are still at level 1 or 2....

- Spoiler:
There is a flying animations!
That's really cool! It is taking a bit longer than I thought it would to use these bombers, but at least it seems to be working.
..........Okay, this isn't funny...... No matter what I do, it still gives me this.
*finds a report bug thing*
I'll try that and see if it helps.
For now, I'll just sell some extra grain and fish I have.

I did encounter the same problem a few days ago, but I haven't had any problems recently.

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- Day 18:
It doesn't seem that load of bombs did anything useful.
Finally Turin has fallen.
And so construction of Tirpitz has begun. In real life, Tirpitz was the second and last ship of the Bismarck-class and was about 2,000 tons heavier than her sister. Tirpitz, like her sister, scared the shit out of the British and until she was finally sunk, she forced the British to dedicate considerable resources to keeping her contained in the Baltic, thus making her a very notable example of a "fleet-in-being".
In other words she was so powerful and terrorifying that she was treated like an entire fleet.
However Tirpitz was also a white elephant of sorts. Hitler didn't dare send her out to sea like Bismarck (which was sunk on her first sortie and only sunk the battlecruiser Hood and damaged a few other ships) and she hardly saw any action.
That army isn't looking so good after my bomber dropped another load of bombs on it.
This is a very good example why you shouldn't really expect troops to take out a battleship. Troops are weak at sea and are easily torn to shreds by just about anything.
Aww, I lost my car.
With E13 no longer a signicant threat, I can turn my attention to other matters. Milan is ripe for the taking and Venice is next after that so I'll start bombing there.
I believe I'm doing a far better job than jokool is doing with Sweden. Right now the losses stand 70,000 (Italy) to 13,000 (The German Empire), compared 168,000 (Sweden) and 132,000 (Great Britain).
Most of this could be chalked up to how well prepared I am.
So the battles last night claimed more lives and cost me an artillery unit.
NO BISMARCK
Now I have spend goldmark as it's pretty much the only way to repair her without waiting for weeks.
I have no idea what happened last night to have done that to her.
So what used to be an Armored car division is now gone.
So now my intel, which most likely came from my bomber, is incorrect as most of the enemy force has moved. My best guess is that it is either heading for Bismarck or Milan.
There is plenty of action. This is so unlike the last game where I was blasting everything to pieces and just marching in without encountering much resistance.
Oh my bomber is badly damaged.
RUN BISMARCK RUN
SHIT SHE CAN'T GET AWAY, she's gonna have to fight it out
LIVE BISMARCK, PLEASE LIVE. I'VE NEVER LOST A BATTLESHIP AND I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL THAT SPOTLESS RECORD
SHIT
COME ON BISMARCK, PLEASE SURVIVE LONG ENOUGH FOR THE BOMBER TO GET THERE.
I'LL GIVE ALL HANDS EXTRA ICE CREAM!
YES, MOTHER FUCKING YES!!!!! BISMARCK LIVES TO FIGHT YET ANOTHER DAY!!!!!
*hands out the promised ice cream to the crew and begins repairs*

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- Spoiler:
Woo! I can see London again! Now I can get back to work! First:
A check of the front lines! Seems to be going well with my bombing runs. I think I'll go ahead and send my troops over to finish it.
Didn't realize my bomber was about to crash and burn! *uses goldmarks to repair it*
There we go. Now, since I've got things under control over on this side of Sweden, I'll go ahead and switch my bomber over to the north to attack up there:
Ummmm.... Didn't think it would switch over that fast, but okay.
Now to get building. I'll start in Bergen:
Built up the fortress to level 5 here, and used goldmarks to speed up the building process. Also upgrading my factory, but I'll just do that regular speed to save goldmarks.
Liverpool just needs one fortress upgrade, so I'll also do that regular speed.
I've got a ton of supplies now (since I haven't been able to do much lately), so I think I'll also build a battleship to help out over in Sweden:
I christen thee: Moka Akashiya! *smashes a champagne bottle on the bow*
Yeah, used a lot of goldmarks to finish her, but now I can send her into battle right away! I'll send her to the southern part of Sweden for now.
Hmmm... Going to need more supplies now. *goes to the Stock Market*
Fortunately, there was a bunch of good deals. Sold some fish to get a bit more money, then bought some iron, wood, and oil (oil was overpriced, but still found a fairly good deal for it).
I think I have enough for another Battleship!
I christen thee: Mizore Shirayuki! *smashes a champagne bottle on the bow*
Sending her up north to help out up there.
*still has a lot of supplies*
Bought two artillery units and used goldmarks to speed up production so I could send them over to Sweden, along with a few reinforcements.
Now I feel good about Sweden.
I still have a lot left, so I'll go ahead and start building a harbor here in Birmingham.
I went ahead and sold more fish on the stock market, then bought more iron. Unfortunately, I'm almost out of money now, so I can't do much else...
I do have enough to upgrade my fortress in Christiania though.
I think that'll just about do it for now.
Wait a minute...
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark! I wonder why they're rebelling so much up here? Everything seems fine with the rest of Denmark.
I wonder what would happen if I decrease the morale more? *takes a chance and does it*
....Nothing much. It lowered it by 10% though, which is pretty good. I also got to see what buildings are in Reykjavik.
Eh, I'll go ahead and try it in the other one as well:
And I think I better stop using so many goldmarks.... I'll save those last few for emergencies.
So there we go. Morale is at an all time low up there, and I got some intel.
Anyway, that'll do it for now. Until next time, see ya!

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
So it seems we have both established our naming procedures. I'm naming mine after actual German battleships (working backwards from newest to oldest) and you are naming yours after characters in Rosario+Vampire.

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
Then along that line of thinking, Bismarck and Tirpitz are fictional ships as the Bismarck-class of battleships weren't built until the beginning of World War II.
So I guess that makes us time traveling motherfuckers who forgot to take their friends along.

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- Spoiler:
- Things are going well so far, except...
OMG!!! I'M UNDER ATTACK AGAIN!!!
Hopefully, that will take care of the attack. Fortunately, it seems like my fortress is protecting my units well so far. So glad I upgraded that one.
I also appear to be having a bit of a food crisis... Not problematic at the moment, but hopefully I can get more food resources coming in soon...
I do have a new province now! I'll go ahead and start building a Recruiting Office.
While I'm at it, I'll also start work on a Factory here.
And since it can be done, I'll also build up my Fortress here to help defend that attack from Sweden.
Now that my recruiting office is done here, I'll start on a fortress.
I think I have enough to upgrade the rest of my fortresses as well, so I'll do that.
...Well, almost enough. Ran out of money on the last fortress....
Oh well, guess that's all I can do for now, so until next time, see ya!

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- Day 19:
Hmm... I wanted to start building another bomber, but I think a wiser choice would be to get a fighter. Fighters are well suited for defending the skies and can still deal some damage. They are also much faster, though the trade off for speed is reduced range.
Oh Cologne's railway is finished.
She's too good to say no :kaching:
So I bought some oil and am deploying the 23rd Infantry Division from Turin to help defend Milan.
Well Bismarck needs to pull back a bit before things get ugly for her again and the 23rd Army needs to hustle back to town before day rolls over. Right now there's a 41% chance, nearly a coin toss, on if the city rebels. If a providence rebels, then it's possible that the providence joins another country.
- Day 20:
Guess what is Wikipedia's featured article of the day is
Well this night isn't going to be fun. I may have Bismarck jog around all night so that I may supervise her battle.
I was expecting a much larger force...
*screenshot not saved before being overwritten on my clipboard*
Wow, that infanty brigade sent to intercept me not only went down quickly, but also didn't do any damage.
At this point there's not much left for my bomber to do and until I get a base further to the south, it can't do me very much good.
Bologna is now mine and Florence and Genoa aren't far behind. I've divided my main force to make things go a little quicker. I may regret this later, however Italy has suffered massive causualities and surely can't have too much more.
No regret right now! In fact I'm confident enough that I'm going after the Capital!
Well that just killed my mood.
Ooo, Florence was building cars! If I repair the workshop, then I should be able to get the cars.
Yup.
*leads my troops into Rome, determined to slaughter the Pope in the name of my Master*
*brutely slaughters the Pope, condemns him to Hell, and then orders my troops to head to Naples before the day is out*
Uh-oh, there's still some fight left.
Ah yeah!
- Day 21:
*lost screenshot, I am professional*
So those two units split up. I don't know where E6 or E3 are going and that concerns me.
The good news is that Tirpitz is ready for action.
The bad news is that Tirpitz isn't going to reach Italy in time to be very useful.
fuck.
Time for Bismarck to jog.
SHIT
I'm sending all avaliable units and hopefully I can keep them from taking Rome back.
The good news is that my fighter is done.
Once Bismarck gets there it'll be all over.
jokool has finally gotten some new land for the first time in days. One thing I'm concerned about is how much building materials Sweden is going to give him.
Yeah you're not going to survive.
*has my ranged units break off the engagement*
So this how the range of a fighter stacks up to that of a bomber.
I want to go after Austria-Hungary next so let's see if my fighter can get me some good intel.
Well now I need to take care of that sea unit.

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- Spoiler:
Nice! Finally getting something going here in Sweden! I think I've got this in the bag now.
I'll start moving some troops around. First, this artillery unit can start pounding on the Swedish capital.
Next, I'll move this unit north to take over this province.
I'll then send this armored car unit down here.
And then send this unit to join them.
Finally, I'll send my bomber unit here to start wearing down this province.
With my new province, I now have enough food supplies coming in to keep them fairly well in the green.
Speaking of that province:
.....It looks like shit right now.... Better get to rebuilding, and I'll start with a Recruiting Office, then, once it's done, I'll repair the other buildings.
I'll also start upgrading my other provinces' fortresses that are still on level 1.
There we go.
Ooo! I can finish upgrading my factory here now! *does so*
And the recruiting office is done here, so I'm now just finishing up repairs.
And that's all for now, so until next time, see ya!
