They're my second favorites, my favorite is Sun and Moon's ace trainers who look a little overdressed for the weather.Arupon wrote:I think black/white has the cutest ace trainers
Speaking of the weather, I'm severely disappointed that

- My Elite Four Experience:
I initally didn't notice the Old Man's typing and started the battle with Zygarde. Without tapping Zygarde's power, I switched in Toucannon and ordered a Beak Blast. Harimama quickly put that to an end with Close Combat. I then switched in Solgaleo. The old man put up a specatular fight with his Bewear. After having used two max potions and not making much progress on defeating it, I used Solgaleo's Cosmic Power to buff his defense and started having a little easier time with it. Now I had not messed with Solgaleo at all since catching him and might have ended up deleting that move if I had. Eventually Solgaleo defeated it with half of his health remining and Zen Headbutt nearly depleted. And then was almost killed by his last Pokemon, that giant crab thing's Z-Power, but hung on by just 5 HP. He ran out of Zen Headbutt at this point and I ended the battle with Sunsteel Strike.
Oliva went down much easier and didn't even use her Z-power. I alternated between Zygarde and Neptune as required. Neptune had picked up Hydro Pump as the result of the previous battle.
Acerola was a surprise to me. I had expected her Uncle. Intially I started with Zygarde again, but withdrew him upon being confused and switched to Neptune for her Moonblast. After defeating Sableye, I switched back to Zygarde. Not familiar with Dhelmise, I quickly learned that it has good defense. Acerola also decided to use her full restores on it. Betting Dhelmise was a water type, I switched to Magnezone and was proved wrong, but Discharge did paralyze it. Just to see, I ordered a Flash Cannon and got lucky with a critical hit. Returning to Zygarde, I faced off against Palossand. After Crunch wasn't doing as much damage as I wanted and Palossand used Iron Defense, I ordered Zygarde to use Core Enforcer, twice. I switched to Magmortar for Frostlass and a Fire Blast quickly dispatched it. I returned to Magnezone for Drifblim and despite Drifblim's efforts to buff, it was dispatched without issue.
For the last member, I didn't recongize her and was trying to figure out if I had met her before. Kahili introduced herself to me and answered my questions. I'll let you guess as to who started first and how long Skarmony lasted against it. For Mandilbuzz I switched in Neptune and after a couple blows back in forth and flattering Neptune, Mandilbuzz killed itself after using Brave Bird three times back to back while Neptune was healing. Magnezone then faced off against Crobat and that round was over in just one turn with Discharge. I kept a confused Magnezone in to see the typing of her Ori-watchcall it. Despite almost being knocked out by Revolution Dance, Magenzone once again dispatched the bird. Impressed by my success so far, I kept Magenzone again and used a Full Restore to face off against Toucannon. Despite Toucannon doing a little damage with Beak Blast, it was no match against Discharge.
The Champion wasn't really a surprise to me. The music was though. Zygarde dispatched Lyronrock with Thousand Waves. Magmortar dispatched Ninetails with Fire Blast. Suspecting the Thick Fat Ability, I switched to Solgaleo. Not expecting the move High Horsepower from a Snorlax (especially since horsepower is a measure of how fast work is done), I reconsidered using Solgaleo and returned to Zygarde for a slog fest. For Braviary, I returned to the tried and trued bird killer, Magnezone. This bird didn't die on the first turn, but it did on the second. Not knowing what a Decidueye was, I switched to Neptune, which I immediately realized was a bad idea and switched to Toucannon. Toucannon survived the Z-Move Bloom Doom, but not two Brave Birds. But Toucannon did burn Decidueye. I decided to use the already injured Magmortar (I had switched him in to fight Ninetails). Magmortar was rendered unable to escape while I was healing it, which was fine by me. Fire Blast rendered it a moot point and I kept Magmortar for Magnezone, but decided to heal before attacking. It became a slog fest with a lot of full restores for a while, until Magmortar finally ran out of fire. I sent Zygarde to finish the job.
My Team At the End
Zygarde Lv. 58
Magmortar Lv. 57
Neptune Lv. 57
Toucannon Lv. 56
Magnzone Lv. 58
Solgaleo Lv. 58

Re: Poké Park [v6]
I've started working on the post story and so far the battles are at least as challenging as the E4, if not more so.
Also I'm now expecting the next region to get a remake is Kanto.

I'm sick and tired of Kanto constantly being shoved down our throats.

Sinnoh or get out!
After I started using repels a lot I'm enjoying the game more, though the dialogue feels so stuffy and forced at least with important characters.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Finally reached the point of those spoilers I spotted a few pages back, and it wasn't as ruined as I thought it'd be and makes a lot of sense now, lolol
I'm about to challenge the Elite 4 now, but I'm thinking of leveling some more and maybe changing my team around? At least move wise, maybe. I've noticed some drawbacks in my team that has never been around problem in past games because I always had a Pokémon that could handle specific typings and such. I don't know. [spoiltext]and Gladion was kicking my butt a bit there the last time I fought him in front of the mountain, so yeah. Gotta rethink some things/ strengthen my Pokémon a bit.[/spoiltext]
I'll post my current team in the morning for thoughts.
How much does Isle Evelup actually help stats? I need to raise some defenses in at least one of my main team's pokemon. I'm considering doing that while hatching Eevee eggs before the League.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Isle Evelup raises a 'mon's EVs by 1/2/4 points per training session at levels 1/2/3, respectively. How much depends on level:
If you're too lazy to calculate, that's 4 EVs:1 stat point at level 100, 8:1 at 50, and probably like 16:1 at 25, though I doubt that you have Pokémon that low. ...I hope you don't have Pokémon that low at the League.
You miiiight still want to do it anyways, but Defense mitigates damage at a rate of (Attack / Defense) so it might not be worth it.
I can't abide by the idea of remaking Red and Green again. Note that the two are mutually exclusive - Red and Blue show up at the Battle Tree as adults...and the Battle Tree events happen after [spoiltext]Lillie leaves for Kanto[/spoiltext].

If it's a sequel following [spoiltext]Lillie shenanigans[/spoiltext] then I would be able to tolerate it, at least.Charles wrote:God, I fucking hope not. >.<;Truthseeker4449 wrote:Also I'm now expecting the next region to get a remake is Kanto.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
So basically if I do 40 sessions with level 50 pokemon, it will increase by 5. Okay.
- My team right now:
- Mandy, Butterfree, F, 52
Jupiter, Araquanid, M, 56
Lakita, Salazzle, F (obviously), 55
Epona, Mudsdale, F, 55
Montu, Decidueye, M, 55
Lielah, Toucannon, F, 55 (who I mainly want to boost defenses for, she's squishy)
My weaknesses I've noticed is that I don't have any Electric, Ice, Dragon, or Fairy moves, making some types harder to defeat in general. I have a noticable weakness to Electric and Ice moves, even some Flying moves for like, half my team.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
I used to hope for a kanto reremake
but the VC release of RBY and maybe FRLG someday made me rethink that.
if anything it'd be a sinnoh remake. most fans are hoping for that, and gen IV is notoriously slow, with it being SOMEWHAT fixed in platinum, not completely.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
The thing is, they have always (it seems to me) been catering to genwunners.
Like...they have megas for the kanto starters' final evolutions for no reason except that they're essentially the first starters.
I feel like nothing will satisfy genwunners, either. They're an awful loud bunch.
If they have a Kanto remake only, I will probably not buy it, even though I basically will buy anything Pokemon spits out. I'm so sick and tired of gen I.
I really hope they make a remake of DP. The Sinnoh region will seem very fresh next to the Alola region (mountainous, land-based region vs islands), it can tie into the whole dimensional plot of Alola, etc.
I beat the captain of the third island so far. I'm still not very far into the game, but I plan on grinding so I will finish it this week.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
I like the Gen I Megas, but that might be because it made Venusaur Cool To Use and I like Venusaur, also Mega Charizard X is pretty metal. I'd imagine that giving starters Megas is to give them a bit of a competitive edge, since historically they've been lacking; Kanto starters getting the first batch (besides Blaziken) is Gen I favoritism, admittedly.
That said, they have been pandering to Gen I forever. Even since Gold and Silver!

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Gold and Silver had literally nothing else to pander to. And even if they have been pandering, at least it used to be more-or-less equal across generations.
