Re: Poké Park [v6]
Think I have my team put together now. Currently in Azalea Town, and here's what's happened so far:
Started with Cyndaquil (did a few soft reset to get a good nature).
Did the usual starting stuff (go to Mr. Pokemon's house to get an egg, get Pokédex, name rival ???, etc.).
First Pokémon I caught was a Pidgey, so I have my flyer now.
Not really going to bother with doing much Pokémon catching for this playthrough, but I did the usual "trade Bellsprout for an Onix" when I got to Violet City.
Bellsprout tower is now a pile of ash and feathers after Cyndaquil and Pidgey were done with it.
Falkner was also fairly easy, and Cyndaquil finally evolved.
Egg hatched along the way to Azalea Town. I was half debating for a while if I should keep Togepi on my team (don't think I've ever actually done that before in any playthrough of Gold or Soul Silver...).
After doing more level grinding, I got to Azalea Town around nighttime, so I figured I'd hit Ilex Forest real quick and add an Oddish to my team.
Later found out that you can catch Poliwag with an old rod, so I made a u-turn back to Violet City to do some fishing and more grinding along the way.
And now I'm just about ready to kick Team Rocket's butt.

Sounds like a well balanced team.
So what have you named your rival?

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Going through my trading cards while watching jacksepticeye play Bendy and the Ink Machine, it hit me...
I don't think I've touched this game since 2010.
2010. 8 years ago. I hadn't graduated yet (that was 2011). The Pit Stop didn't exist. I hadn't joined Bulbagarden yet (also in 2011).
I think one of the things that killed it for me was when we all started playing Yugioh on Dueling Network (which I had never even played back then, despite being a huge fan of the anime).
8 years, and I'm not sure if I've changed too much, or hardly at all.
Anyway, back to the cards. Going over my old notes and stuff, I think I have around 1500 cards now. I was up to around 1400 when I last kept track of them all, but I can't remember when I stopped actually counting them...
I know that I've only bought like 2 or 3 packs since then, so it probably hasn't changed much. What has changed is how I sort them....which is not at all it seems (hence why I was going through them today). I remember being almost religious with how I sorted and kept track of every card, from trying to figure out which ones were the strongest, to what order they should be in. Now...they're a big jumble of cards, but I have them sorted out by type again at least.
I know I'm probably never going to play this actively again. So I'm not going to bother sorting out which ones are in the current format anymore.
...though, to be honest, I never actually played with anyone, and would just make two decks to play a game with myself...
