Well there is an option to disable it in the settings. Personally, I have mine off since I rarely have anything to say vocally and also because the mic is apparently sensitive enough to pick up my irregular and grunt-like breathing.

I keep voice chat off for a couple of reasons.

One is background noise. Two is my grandma would probably freak out if she ever heard someone chatting with me over the ds.

I've never used voice chat in online battles. I don't think I'd like it.

Anyway, I stumbled across this Nuzlocke comic earlier. It's actually really freaking good.

Sableye...erm...dammit I can't think of a pun, but he can now Mega Evolve.

I'm guessing he has enhanced Defense, what with the huge gem shield and whatnot.
