So I've been binge-watching series five. I'm currently at "The Vampires of Venice."

And now I'm on "Vincent and the Doctor," which is where I started with the series in the first place! Dunspach is Glory!

And now I've got the proper context to feel sad about
actual big spoiler:
Rory's erasure from existence and all the talk about Amy feeling sad for no reason ;A;

But it's alright because I've seen up to the third episode of series seven, so I know how everything ends. :B

And now I'm on series six, currently at "The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People." Still don't like it this time around. The special effects are all wonky.

However, I did notice a thing.

thing i noticed that is mega spoilery:
I worked out the reason why the Doctor says their visit wasn't "accidental"—he meant to go there to study the Flesh to confirm that the Amy he was traveling was, indeed, an imposter.

And while we're on that subject, the Doctor melting Flesh Amy at the end of "The Almost People" kinda negates the whole "the Flesh are real people and deserve to be treated humanely" Space Whale Aesop, which is a big part of the reason why I don't like this two-parter.

The two Doctors are cool, though.

I'm curious how they're going to turn millions of tiny black cubes into enemies, but don't tell me, because I suspect it'll be mind-blowing.

EDIT: NEVERMIND I JUST FOUND OUT HOLY SHIT

It's not as mindblowing as I thought it would be, but it was sure as hell scary when it first started. It's a bit hard to explain, so here's a link and there's a TL;DR under the spoiler.

tl;dr:
Millions of identical black cubes appear around the Earth overnight, people take them and collect them as trinkets, until a year later all the cubes activate at once and start scanning humanity. Turns out they were deployed by beings called Shakri, who are basically pest control for the universe, and the cubes were to discover humanity's weaknesses and how to kill them. Everyone starts dying of heart attacks at once (at one point a third of the population died), but the Doctor used the cubes to cause mass defibrillation and all was fine and dandy. And also there were some people with cube-mouths, which was what the "HOLY SHIT" was about.

Currently at "Hide." Doing a lot of different genres in series seven—westerns, film noir, urban thrillers, straight-up sci-fi, cold war, and now a ghost story.
