How would I know if I have this shop or not?

If you haven't touched the Festival Plaza, you prrrrrrrrrrrrobably don't.

There's a guy inside the castle that lets you rearrange your buildings - this, obviously, lets you see the ones you have. You can let people buy the first building on the list.

Speaking of Festival Plaza, a new Global Mission has been released: Catch or defeat 1,000,000 Pokémon using Island Scan!

That's a lot of Pokémon, and the chances of it getting completed are...absurdly slim, to put it lightly. But I'd recommend doing it anyways!

First off - make sure you actually sign up for the mission by connecting to Festival Plaza and speaking to the woman on the right inside the castle. You get 217 FC no matter what, and that doubles to 434 FC if you have a Global Link account. That's great for leveling up your Plaza, if nothing else.

Second, fire up the QR scanner and start scanning QR codes. What they're for doesn't matter - if it's a QR code, it'll scan! Helpful is the Magearna QR code, which nets you 20 points. You need 100 for an Island Scan.

After you collected your codes, press the R button to do an island scan on the island you're on! Which Pokémon you get depends on the island you're on and the day of the week, as organized into these charts (sort of spoilers for SuMo, I guess?):

As a note, no Island Scan Pokémon can call for help. That means no Hidden Abilities, and no guaranteed 31 IVs. Also no extra shiny chances.

On the bright side, however, any Island Scan Pokémon that can come with an Egg Move comes with (a predetermined) one.

I just hatched another Shiny, this time by complete accident! It's a Turtonator!

Niiiiiiice.

Also, even if you aren't interested in the global event, the site has five special QR codes that add 20 points. That lets you Island Scan twice as fast!

the pokebank update is coming either this week or next I think

I started playing Black 2 on Challenge Mode a few days ago. I'm about halfway through Chargestone Cave right now.

here's what my party is looking like:

Apart from the starter I'm trying to use only Pokémon I've never used before. Crustle in particular I've never really thought about much until this playthrough, but I'm really liking him so far. Magnezone and Gothorita are ones I've wanted to use for awhile, though.

I haven't noticed until now that Servine does a little tap dance-y thing.

He's gotta dance while he's still got those legs y'know :U

Speaking of, I've started playing White 2, and just arrived in Castelia City, but have had trouble figuring out my team.  Anyone wanna help me narrow down my options?

Just as a heads-up, Durant is Bug/Steel, not pure Steel.

I know, I was just rushing to put types on everything.
