Re: Today I Learned
Our car has fog lights! Mom had been asking if I was ready to take the permit test (again) next week, so to prove that I had been studying, I asked about fog lights. The manual doesn't really describe them and their usage, really. :U So we were talking about fog lights, and mom wondered if we had some. At a stop light she found a possible switch, so when we parked, we checked, and we did! So now mom knows we have some and how to turn them on. And I do, too!

Re: Today I Learned
Not sure what you two discussed but there's not really any restriction on the use of fog lights that I'm aware of, however at least several states do require that fog lights must turn off if the high beams are activated. Also easy way to tell if a vehicle has fog lights, look along the lower front of the vehicle. If there's two lenses closer to the ground than the headlight and turn signal housing(s), then the vehicle has fog lights. A good chunk of vehicles will have areas in the bumper that can be cut out and have fog lights installed there. My '94 Ranger is not one of those vehicles, a different bumper is required to have fog lights.Burnin' Bunnies wrote:Our car has fog lights! Also I learned today I have an awful lot of steel in my front end, even in areas where alternative materials would do just fine. Perhaps the Ranger is one of vehicles that can drive away after a front-end collision with minimal damage.

That an Alaskan Convertible is a pickup truck with the roof chopped off. Or so I heard from an Alaskan State Trooper.

That's because you copied the image url. It seems like you can't copy the text by highlighting it alone, thus, you have to have some text highlighted as well.
Edit: Or highlight the emoticon and hit CTRL + c.

Today I learned that the reason French Horn players stick their hands in the bell of their instrument is NOT to mute the sound; it's to make the instrument sound more in tune.

One should not wear a very short skirt in an area with a lot of fans going on full power. One girl walked up to her parent earlier and her skirt started to lift up.
