I'll get to work on that tomorrow after work if I have time. For now, now that I've had time to think and get over the emotional shock of the finale, I have a few thoughts on what I'd like to see in volume 4:

Ren and Nora backstory. Either do this like with Cinder and her crew and have a full episode dedicated to them, or have Ruby ask them about their past while they're traveling, or both.
Neo and Torchwick (or at least Neo) backstory. Needs to happen as well.
Sun vs. Adam. I know I was against it at first, but now that I've settled down a bit, I want to see them go at it, or at least have some sort of exchange.
Yang seeking out Raven/Raven coming to Yang. Former is more likely than the later, but either way, I think Yang needs to see and talk with her mom.
Penny 2.0. THIS CAN AND MUST HAPPEN! WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY! Niagara Falls

Jeremy getting a voice roll in Volume 4. If not next volume, sometime down the road. I doubt this would happen, but it would be hilarious if he got the role of Papa Schnee since he doesn't have a voice actor yet (I don't think?).

So, remember that thought I had earlier about Cynder's plan? I think she wanted to kill (or freeze) the dragon so that the grimm would come swarming. So, technically, if I'm right, Ruby just helped Cynder accomplish her goal...

What makes you think that?
If she can control Grimm, as heard and shown in "The Beginning of the End" and earlier in this episode, it seems more advantageous to me to have a mobile weapon.
Granted, it's possible she might not be able to control such a powerful Grimm and she could want it to be stationary like you said, but there's been no indication that she's lacking the strength to command any of the Grimm she's controlled.

Interesting how her silver eyes are also apart of another fairy tale.

I wish this had been hinted at earlier in the show.

Oz is the one sending Qrow on his missions, but now that he's gone Qrow sounds like he's taking charge... Wonder what Ironwood and Glynda think of this?

Glynda too busy cleaning up everyone's messes to worry about whatever shenanigans Qrow's getting into

The vibe I got was that Penny's aura is what gave her a soul. Even if there is a backup, her personality and being won't be the same. Aura can only be transferred under extremely controlled situations with the latest Atlas tech, and even that is reportedly unreliable.
Basically, I think if Penny is remade it will be a P.E.N.N.Y. unit and not the Penny we knew and loved. ~~i'm pessimistic maybe~~
On a meta sense, I'm less sure because while RT did say that Penny is gone, there is also the fact that her father was shown. I don't think that plotline will just vanish completely.
's a good point. I'll amend what I said: An "incomplete" Penny will return at some point. (And Ruby will help here regain her essence/soul.)
If Weiss ends staying in Atlas for a bit, maybe she comes into contact with Penny's father and Ironwood and sees them making a new body for her.

Pyrrha being dead/never regaining a physical form, I can buy very easily. The finale would lose a lot of its punch if she returned again in the flesh without any lasting effects.
Pyrrha being gone and never being seen or heard again outside of flashbacks I have a more difficult time swallowing.

We have a man seemingly turning into a bird in the stinger (unless Qrow was actually a bird and he was returning to his original form and jfc nope nope nope not going down this route nope it is too early in the hiatus to succumb to such a potato) and the White Cloak in the first volume's opening. Spectres seem very plausible to me at this point and I'm going to hold onto this like a life preserver until it is forcibly ripped from my hands

After two volumes of wishing for the show to live up to the grim lyrics of its openings/soundtrack now I'm trying to do mental gymnastics for all these possible hope spots

If it helps, one of the issues I was having was that the spoiler wasn't working when I tried to spoiler tag the whole post. It's like the second half of the code (the [ / spoiler ]) wasn't even there, but was there when I'd go to edit it. Thought maybe that it was too much to put under a spoiler, so I tried breaking it up, but still had that issue...

Still don't have a clue why it caused my side panel to go haywire...

I interpreted that as her showing off her power to it, not necessarily to attack, but just to say "yes I am your master" and to mesmerize it with fire. She seemed in control of everything but her emotions (and even then she didn't lash out upon meeting Ozpin or discussing destiny with Pyrrha) up until Ruby's Silver Eye Powers

Yeah we got a bit more info with the destruction of the CCT/communication between the kingdoms, Salem's monologue, "Divide", etc. but the "why" (other than they really hate Ozpin) is still unknown.
