Yeah, if you still want the For Massive Damage move, you'd want Giga Impact. Though Return is also pretty good if you maxed out Friendship.

Well, apparently Salamence's 100 base stat Bonus Points are being shoved into its defense. Which is...what?

I believe both it's Defense and Special Defense base stats are 80, so......if it's a 50/50 split between them....130 each.

In news from the website (which I got through Bulbanews...) there is a special Cosplay Pikachu (here's hoping she doesn't share the fate of Spiky-Eared Pichu) who is the only Pikachu that can use the special outfits and Horde Battles are brought to their logical conclusion with Grunt Hordes. The protagonists are also given special Contest outfits like in DPPt. Brendan's is absolutely metal and also will finally get through to jokool's and Cap's heads that his hair is not white, and May becomes a magical girl who has a ponytail like crossdressing Yosuke. The contest's visual round is like RSE's, while the appeal round (with moves) is DPPt's, but with the combo techniques that are in RSE. Huzzah! The Contest Stats are renamed Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness, and Toughness. Also shiny Beldum event starts November 21.

Apart from the Beldum thing, I highly doubt most of your story.

It's the middle of the summer, I doubt Bulbanews or Pokémon.com would try to pull a fast one.

So basically...just RSE's appeal rounds, then?

...although getting the excitement level up to the max is what enables you to Mega Evolve and get an uber bonus, though Pokémon that don't/can't can get a (smaller) bonus.
