I was expecting a little more. I probably would have been more surprised had there been no leaks, but eh, whatever.

I did almost get emotional watching that new video though. Around the part where it was saying Connect in different languages.

So there's been some pretty interesting speculation on Bulba that's actually convinced me about what the next region is.

Hawaii.

In the announcement, there was some concept art of a yellow fire truck. Most places in the world have red fire trucks; Hawaii's are yellow.

We're somewhere tropical, with palm trees, as evidenced by this screenshot:

You could argue that it could just be a random location that's different from the rest of the region, but I think they would take care to film things that are most representative of the region for the announcement.

The Strange Souvenir looks like a tiki, and is said to be from somewhere "very far" from Kalos.

The license plate shown on the truck in the announcement had a rainbow on it. Hawaii's license plates have rainbows.

Somewhere in X&Y a woman said there was a region where waterfalls flow backwards. Hawaii has backwards-flowing waterfalls.

With the titles being "Sun" and "Moon," I'm sure that they'd locate it somewhere with clear skies, which most people would associate with a tropical location.

Ocean Vivillon is available in Hawaii, and was shown as one of the Pokémon being traded in the announcement.

And the "flowers" hint would line up with Hawaii, given that Hawaii is commonly associated with flowers, especially lei wreaths that you wear around your neck.

A Hawaiian region would be really cool! There are 8 main islands, so you could have a gym on each island. Hopefully they go easy on the water routes, though. At least have a boat transportation system or something. :B

Further proof that GS set the precedence for Gen VI and beyond. I'm telling you, Ranger Guardian Signs is the best spinoff. Why else would they just be implementing all of it's elements into the main story?

Now, how do you get from island to island in GS? You fly, of course. You literally soar. Like in ORAS. Only before ORAS. Which means if Caprizant's theory is right, then soaring may not be ORAS-exclusive.
