Assuming I go straight from Gym #4 to Gym #5 as in Emerald (IIRC), I can make up two levels there then.

Why does ash have to be so much more of a pain to collect now....

There's no risk in it, you know. 'S not like Trainers in there will challenge you...

I didn't know if there would be some sort of chase like in the Underground. Do you get a Star if you collect enough of them? Or did they stop that?

Also I forgot that Flannery tries to be a tough girl.

Even if they did, it wouldn't be a chance. There's a level limit in there unless they have a post-game item that has the level limit be off.
