Yes, you'll randomly get some Passes while connected to the internet.

But you must've passed at least one person irl, because if my understanding is right, only actual StreetPasses can carry the Eon Ticket.

^^I was suspecting that since I checked my notifications earlier and found I had passed four people at school. Now I'm wondering what'll happen when I attempt the Petalburg Gym.

Also my Beldum has a Quicky Nature (neutral, which was what I wanted) and a Sturdy Body.

The dowsing machine in this game is so weird... and yet I can't help but like it. Certainly a more user friendly than XY's.
