I beat the Spiritmaster and Arcanist last night!

Promptly switched Agnes from White Mage to Spiritmaster with White Magic as a side ability.

Now I'm money/job point grinding to get Agnes up to speed.

Where and how are you grinding?

I'm grinding in the area between Eternia and the place where I beat Arcanist/Spiritmaster. Those little mandrake things give out a lot of pg and job points. I need more money 'cause I spent most of it on Edea.

Finally started the main game! Enjoyed the opening movie (probably more than I should have for Agnés...). Voice actors are okay, and, at the moment, I prefer Ringabel and Edea's voice actors. Also liking them more after seeing the opening movie now that I know a bit more about them.

Enjoying the gameplay (familiar with it already since I played the demo), but taken by surprised that there's a bit with microtransactions... Probably won't be using that hourglass much...

Story is also good so far. Won't spoil it, but I'm in a cave and just met Agnés.

D's journal is quite an interesting read.

Okay, so a few things I'm liking so far: The option to have the Japanese voice actors (thank God...), the option to turn off random encounters (useful if party is in trouble), and the option to crank up random encounters (useful for grinding, which is what I've been doing for a while now).

Speaking of grinding: Heading to Lonato Villa, and Tiz is at level 11, level 4 as a Freelancer, equipped weapon is Mage Masher; Agnès is level 11 as well, level 2 as a Black Mage (but also level 3 as a White Mage and Freelancer, so I have White Magic as a second ability), and equipped with a Rod; Ringabel is level 10, level 3 as a Monk, and equipped with Iron Knuckles; Edea is level 9, level 3 Freelancer, and has Ise-no-Kami equipped.

A couple of questions though. One is about party line up. Does it matter who is in what slot?

The other question is about equips. Some of the equips are E ranked on some classes, but appear to have no ill effects. Do they have any ill effects that I'm not seeing, or does the E ranking mean that it's not as good for that Job, but still effective since it's the best equip I can find/afford right now?
