Sounds like you're describing the original Spyro game...

They're in Persona 4 too... There's like 2 or 3 more at the moment, but I used my last key on a chest that had yet another combat dress....

It's an armor equip for the girls.

I figured that much, I was hoping for a picture.

It doesn't show up. Persona 4 isn't one of those games. Not even in Golden. (Any pictures that make it seem otherwise is just a costume.)

...especially since there doesn't seem to be a reliable way to get a Chest Key in the original Persona 4.

What? How is this a ripoff? It's a PS2 game! I can think of one of those that changed appearance with equipment, and that was for one character, and that character was a hot chick, and it was limited to sexy equipment, so fanservice probably why they did it.

Seriously, they aren't generic characters that all share a body type and so the developers could just make two models of it and be done with it. No, they are different characters with different body types so they'd have to make a different clothing model for all of them. (Or most of them, at least.)

I'm sorry, it just seemed like one to me at the time, but I wasn't referring to the whole game.

Keys to pissing me off are riffing on the things I love and making it be late at night.
