The Hobbit is still a relatively short book (around 100,000 words shorter then The Deathly Hallows (which was split into but two parts), so it ends up stretching the movie far more then it should, with new subplots and whatnot.

Just got back from watching 'The Lego Movie' and I think it's one of the best movies I've seen recently it was hilarious and also was pretty deep.
