Hm...has anybody else heard about a New Orleans shooting?

Now I have. When did it happen?

Mother's Day, I believe. The little information I know comes from my sister, who apparently heard it from her religion teacher. Apparently there was a shooting at the Mother's Day parade, but I can't be bothered to check.

Looks like it's true. 19 people wounded, including two 10 year old kids.

I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this.

I'm surprised my dad didn't. Something huge like this, ye'd think he'd've heard it by now.

Hard to say it is huge if none of us had heard of it. I do recall hearing something about a shooting in passing, but no one ever mentioned anything directly.

Either it's a sign of how overdone shootings are at this point or it really wasn't noticeable.

Tornado Alley is called Tornado Alley for a reason. That's the risk you take by living there.

Word on the street is some F4 just barreled through Oklahoma, during rush hour. Cars are said to be everywhere.

I can confirm that. It wasn't close to us thankfully. It plowed through Moore, a town that is famous for tornadoes, like one from May 3rd, 1999. This tornado took a path very similar to that 99 tornado, and was nearly as destructive, leveling homes and tearing apart other buildings, including a school (they think everyone in the school made it through okay, but they're digging through the rubble right now to be sure). They're saying it was 200+ mph winds (like with yesterday's tornado). Also, 3 deaths have been confirmed so far.

Another F5, it's really rare to have two within 24 hours.

There are two elementary schools that got hit and it is believed that there are fatalities at both. The official death toll will start being announced tomorrow.
