Re: TOUCHDOWN, MANCHESTER UNITED WINS THE RACE
Man, I don't think I've ever seen a wilder Talladega race! Bumper cars most of the day, and I lost count of all the big ones. I'd say over half the field was in or apart of an accident today.

At one point I heard that just 19 cars were left in the race, and a good bit of those had already been smashed.

Welp, I'll be glued to my TV most of the day. Watching the Monaco Gran Prix right now, the 100th Indy 500 is later today, and the Coke 600 is tonight. The Sunday before Memorial Day is always a big day in racing!

Tony Stewart won today's race at Sonoma, fulfilling one of the waiver requirements he needed to make the chase after missing the first part of the season due to injury.
He still needs to be in the top 30 by the end of the regular season, which shouldn't be an issue given that he's only 9 points behind the 30th place driver currently.

Swimming Olympic Trials are going on right now, so that's cool.

Jeff Gordon will be driving in this week's race at Indianapolis! He's subbing in for Dale Jr. who missed last week's race due to a concussion(?), and is apparently still recovering from it.

Re: TOUCHDOWN, MANCHESTER UNITED WINS THE RACE
So I heard a car blew up at Walkin's Glen yesterday. The car came to a stop, then something in or near the engine bay blew up with no fire. No one seems to know what happened, and NASCAR has impounded the car until a cause can be determined.

Re: TOUCHDOWN, MANCHESTER UNITED WINS THE RACE
Moving on to the round of 8 in the chase: Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Joey Logano, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin.
Austin Dillon, Martin Truex Jr., Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski were eliminated during this round. Two of the drivers (Truex and Brad) might have had a chance to stay alive, but had engine failures during the race.
