Re: TOUCHDOWN, MANCHESTER UNITED WINS THE RACE
Danica Patrick has announced that she will be stepping away from full time racing after this season. She still plans on racing in the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500 next year however.

Thrilling finish to an incredible NASCAR season! Holding off Kyle Bush on the last laps, Martin Truex Jr. wins at Homestead and is your new Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion! An absolutely stellar season for Martin, with 8 wins, 19 top 5s, 26 top 10s, and 19 stage wins, leading all drivers across the board! So happy for him and his team right now!
Other notable finishes: Matt Kenseth, in his final race in the #20, nabs 8th place.
In his last career race, Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished in 25th.
Finally, Danica Patrick, after just announcing that she will no longer race full time, had another disappointing finish (37th) after losing a tire and hitting the wall. You could tell how upset she was with yet another DNF this year (11 total) in an interview just afterwards.

Gah! Already been been two major wrecks in the Daytona 500, and were barely halfway! They're being waaay too aggressive this year, especially the newer drivers!

Yup, and Austin Dillon won it on a last lap nudge.
Fun fact: Austin Dillon brings the #3 to the Daytona 500 victory lane 20 years after Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s first and only Daytona 500 victory back in 1998.
Another fun fact: Austin Dillon was there in victory lane with Dale Sr. back in 1998 as a kid. Austin is the grandson of Dale Sr.'s car owner, Richard Childress (who is also Austin's current car owner).
Yet another fun fact related to Daytona: Yesterday's Xfinity race there had the closest margin of victory ever in NASCAR history: 0.000 (a literal photo finish).
