I have since found out that the answer to the first question is actually yes, yes, and oh yes. The latter question is no, it was a free download and is still widely available if you know how to look for it, argh.

Besides using the trademark Pokémon, the development team actually used 50 official Pokémon. The other 150 are original. Link to Poké Dex. It's kinda a shame really, the other 150 look really good. Some of the textures also look very familiar.

I think my depression meds aren't working anymore. On the other hand, my psychiatrist is blargh so I'd end up telling her, she'd give me a funny look, then proceed to not prescribe me anything else or prescribe me the same drug in a different dose and then proceed not to file it at a pharmacy for two weeks.
