Re: Duelist Kingdom
I was in of those rare moods to duel so if I wasn't busy trying to save the chats and upload my LP part, I would've suggested a duel. Then again I also need to save my decks.....
jokool, I have it. I can't remember how good it is, apparent from a few memories of it eating fairies for breakfast.
Also Chaosj2 (Lux) is on there.

Well, I managed to put together a quick Nordic deck just now. Can't test it until things cool off more around here though....

Once per turn you can equip this card in the graveyard to a face up "Kihote" monster. You cannot activate this effect the turn this card was sent to the graveyard"
Kihote, Seeker of Gusto
Art: Kihote, now older and looking like a normal human with green hair and dressed in gusto clothing is standing on a tree looking over the forest.
Lvl 4 Wind
Spellcaster/Effect
Atk 1000/ Def 1200
"Once per turn, shuffle a card from your graveyard into your deck; draw a card. If it was a "Kihote" card: You can send it to the graveyard; draw a card."
Kihote, Laval Flare

Lvl 4 Earth
Spellcaster/Gemini
Atk 1800/ Def 0
"This card is treated as a normal monster while face up on the field or in the graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with this effect.
● Send a card from your deck to the graveyard; special summon a level 4 or lower monster from your graveyard. It is destroyed during the end phase and you can only special summon monsters of a different attribute than those on the field when this effect resolves for the rest of the turn."
Steelswarm Kihote

Lvl 4 Dark
Spellcaster/effect

Kihote's Hope
Art: A rock, fire, cup of water, fan, light, and a shadow are surrounding young scholar kihote.
Ritual Spell
"Banish a Dark, Light, Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth monster(s) from your graveyard to special summon "Elemental Master Kihote" from your hand, deck, or graveyard."
Kihote's Remorse
Art: One of the older Kihotes is crying over a dark body.

Art: Young Scholar is holding a small clock and behind him, are the 8 older Kihotes holding the same clock in the same pose
Spell
"Both players shuffle monsters from their graveyard or banished zone into the deck and draw one card for each attribute shuffled."
Story: Basically Kihote is a resident of Clear World who was always facinated by the other tribes and uses the knowledge gained from the Book of Knowledge, he transforms into a member of one of the other tribes. He then goes to live with them. If he picks Gusto, he falls in love with another member(haven't decided yet who, but thinking maybe Wynda) but when the Gishki genocide happens he is unable to save her and blames himself. If he picks Gishki, he lives happily until they begin sacrificing people for their rituals and the guild consumes him and he goes into a state of despair. If he picks Laval, he fights alongside them and falls in love with Handmaiden, but when the Gishki attack and he fails to save anyone he gives into despair. If he picks Gem-Knight he becomes a believer in justice and fights with all his might to protect others. When Emerald was consumed by the Lswarm virus he gave into despair when he was faced with the task of killing one of his closest friends. If he picks Steelswarm he fights alongside them but when they all were being killed by the alliance, he gave into despair at how hopeless their situation was. If he picked Vylons, he'd work as hard as he could for the alliance, and live a happy life, until the Lswarm virus infected the hive mind, causing him to be infected and the horrible thoughts drove him to insanity. At the end of each path he resorted to using a special reset clock he had in order to go back to the point where he chose which tribe to join and then picked another, continuing on with his memories. After he failed at all 8 tribes, he decided that the only way to be happy was to use all of the elements he's mastered along his way and become the Elemental Master, and use the power to alter the world to his liking.

Re: Duelist Kingdom
Okay, today this happened:
- Spoiler:
- Analysis of the whole Dueling Day with Chaosj2/The Jingster.
Duel 1: Kihote vs Mecha Phantom Beast
He proposed a Duel with his fake archetype. I had no clue of how it would be done, but eventually we just used the effect list he made with random other cards from DN to make it work. At that point we realized how overpowered Kihotes are. I lost.
Duel 2: Gusto Tempest (Tempusto) vs Karakuri - Synchro 8 Spam
Eventually, we chose real Decks. And I have to admit, Gusto Tempest is a reall troll (BEWARE!). I lost the first Duel of the Match with ease.
Siding. I put in "Poisonous Winds". Bored to give a link, Cont. Spell, prevents Special Summons of WIND monsters.
I play first (I lost before). First hand: Solar Wind Jammer, Ninishi, Duplication, Poisonous Winds.
Bureido Giantrainer Shenanigan... guess who won
Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/px32m7W.png (Star Eater came through Nishipahi + COTH Bureido)
OK, that was just one lucky first hand. Except that they were three :))
Third match. Ninishi Jammer Duplication. The 6 cards gave me Poisonous Winds and a convenient Solemn Judgement again
Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/bgI83ZX.png
Duel 3: Ninjas vs Karakuri Drawing Madness
After the defeat of Gusto Tempest (I held a grudge on this Deck since yesterday when I first faced it), Jingster decided to bring his true weapon.
Ninjas...
This was the third time consecutively it got pulled off. It was with Nishipachi though, meaning 3 draws instead of 6. Anyway, that was a win.
The only one of this match. https://i.imgur.com/EJRQiQT.png
Second duel: Apex Avian lockdown, Jingster wins
Third duel: Even worse...
So, he got the Ninja Duel. Cool, I actually lost more counting Kihote. Good job, Jingsta. Still, 3 consecutive Giantrainer isnt an everyday phenomenon :))
BTW, we all agree that Kihote needs a good nerf...

Re: Duelist Kingdom
So the little ember is glowing again and I'm going through all of my decks, saving them. But while going through them, I realized I want to try something new. I want to try a less often used deck, something that may have been considered meta at some point, but was abandoned because of newer decks. Yet I need it to still go toe-to-toe with modern decks. Does such a deck exist?

- Spoiler:
alien (I've recreated this deck several times, but usually lose interest and scrap it)
ancient gear (if I recall correctly, this was one of my earliest successful decks, but was deleted a while ago)
cloudian (gave up on trying to get them to work)
fabled (I often return to this in some manner)
gem-knights (one of the last decks I was trying before leaving DN and I thought they were okay)
gladiator beasts (I first started using these during your tourament and frequently used them since)
gravekeepers (I've used both a Macro and normal version of the deck, but don't use them very often)
gusto (I lack the paitence to work with this deck, it also doesn't fit well with my style)
harpies (I had your original deck, I just threw it away though)
malefic (Another deck I frequently return to)
roid (I think I've tried these once, but didn't like them much)
saber (I've been working on these for a while now, trying to dial it in)
scrap (I tried these hoping for great power, but I found their play style too advanced and complex)
six samurai (Like Malfics, this tends to be one of my better decks)
agents (I've considered these after seeing them, but I don't think I've seriously used them before)
vylon (another failed attempt at something I thought would be good)
watt (just deleted my deck...)
I'll look into Blackwing.
