The Mushroom Kingdom
For plumbing talk. :B
I figured it was about time we had a Mario thread around here. It's kind of a big franchise.
Thread also includes side series set in the Mario Universe, such as Donkey Kong, Wario, Yoshi, etc.
Anyway, it seems there's a patch to Super Mario Maker that allows an alternate way to unlock everything (other than playing the game every day for nine days). Now you can also unlock items based on the amount of blocks you've placed.
Super Mario Maker Levels
Below is a list of member-made Super Mario Maker levels. Sorted first alphabetically by member, and then within that, chronologically by the time the level was posted on here.

Because we thought the Mario series wasn't notable enough for its own thread :U

I think there may or may not have been an angry plumber that threatened Cap's household.

I honestly thought it was because at this point, Mario is synonymous with gaming (at least with me, if you're named Mario I instantly think vidya games)

Re: The Mushroom Kingdom
I got Super Mario Maker for my birthday! :D
It took me a few tries to make a level that actually felt cohesive, but once I got it I managed to make a couple. The interface is just as easy as it looks. And I can already make a few cool combinations of elements.
For example, selecting a Piranha Plant and shaking it turns it into a Fire Piranha, and then you can apply wings to that and stick it in a pipe, where it'll pop out every few seconds and float while spitting fireballs. You can also put it in a Lakitu cloud, which I did on my first level.
I also tried out a few of the top custom levels, and they're pretty cool. Most of them aren't even really levels, though, just automated contraptions to do a cool thing, like go through an obstacle course or make a song. But they're still neat.
I'm kinda bummed out by the 10-level limit when uploading, though. You can increase the limit by earning stars, but I can't see that happening much given how many levels are being made. A lot of stuff will just remain obscure unless you actively ask for stars. :V
Can't wait to unlock some more stuff so I can start playing with power >:D

Tried all these. Very difficult! :o
Also, a bit of general advice: If you're using Lakitus, try to keep them out of reach of players, because they can defeat the Lakitu and get the cloud, effectively allowing them to skip the level. Unless you want them to get the cloud, in which case it's a cool gimmick. :V
I've got some levels too. I try to keep my designs traditional, keeping to courses that you might find in a real Mario game.
215A-0000-008A-5869 — "Denim Denim Denim" — Super Mario Bros. 3, Underground
9711-0000-008A-59CA — "The Language of Flowers" — Super Mario World, Ground
289D-0000-008D-2687 — "Robe and Bone" — Super Mario World, Ghost House
F4F2-0000-0094-F6F1 — "Moles on Parade" — Super Mario World, Ground
31CB-0000-0096-DFEE — "Pale Blue Box" — Super Mario World, Ghost House
I have more courses, but I only upload the ones that I feel are as complete as I can get them. Occasionally I take a course down to make tweaks based on feedback and statistics in Course World, so the addresses may change.

Re: The Mushroom Kingdom
Well, there may be a few non-traditional elements (like the Cloud Sledge Bro boss fight), but no end-to-end Kaizo-level insanity :V

Re: The Mushroom Kingdom
My favorite parts are 2:49-3:47 and 6:15-6:40
As for favorite SMB series, mine is Paper Mario, especially the first two installments. They're just... perfect in regards to story and characters, and the first is nearly perfect in regards to gameplay mechanics.
and we'll pretend the fourth never happened

- Such a simple and clichéd intro, yet that does not diminish its impact in the least, but rather, make one look back upon it with fondness:
Perhaps it's due to rosy retrospection, but for me, they serve as a paradigm for the genre.
