I think the Y has more do with gender than the X because if you've got a Y, you're a guy, if not, you have to be a girl.

XX is girl
XY is boy

perhaps naming it XX and XY was too troublesome :I

After trying out Yellow and having it work with only slight freeze ups once or twice, I think I'll go ahead and try Fire Red. A LP may soon follow.

Might start tomorrow though.

I've begun moving Pokémon from Black over to Black 2.

I've got over 600 of them to move, so it'll probably take a few days to finish....

It's useless in single battles. Even in doubles or triples, you won't need it unless you have an attack that can affect your teammates.

It is, however, of -immense- use if you have a Jolteon or a Torterra in your party.

...yeah, Jolteons learn Discharge.
