The Mushroom Kingdom

Well, it seemed like it was a good game, but it had a lot of frustrating levels (for a good example of this, see the video below), and it reminded me of what I came across in Super Mario Galaxy multiple times, namely, a purple coin level where you had to gather 100 of them by going across an 8-bit Luigi platform that was full of hazards, then going back to the start to get the star.....oh, and there was a time limit....

Also, not sure why, but I wasn't really impressed with F.L.U.D.D. Thought it'd be cooler to have a water jetpack thing, but it seemed like it just made the game more complicated...

PBG also came across performance issues, especially in the final boss fight.

The plot was also a bit lackluster...though, most Mario games are just the same basic rescue Princess Peach in the end.

It looked okay at least, and it seemed like it might have been fun to play back in the day, but, especially compared to newer Mario titles, yeah, I don't regret not playing it.

it doesn't have the mystery mushrooms or any level that features them, so that's 90% of the level database gone.

Is that the mushroom that changes your costume?

yes, it was very popular online.

But it wasn't in the 3D Mario levels, so there's still those.

The only major issue I have with Mario Maker 3D is that you can't share your levels online...

I'm 95% certain that they're highlighting the "wireless connection/StreetPass" shareability, rather than saying that you can't play courses online - note how 100-Mario Challenge is still in.

I'm also somewhat confused on both why Mystery Mushrooms can't be in (you can tap in amiibos on the 3DS, Nintendo  ), nor why it just can't auto-replace them with the Super Mushroom  (Granted, that could make some levels unwinnable...)

I know they said you can play Wii U levels on the 3D version (minus the mystery mushroom levels), but I didn't hear anything about sharing levels made on the 3D version over the internet. All they said was share via local connection and street pass...

I mean, it could mean that they just wanted to emphasize that and didn't feel the need to mention wifi sharing, but still...

Aw man, after watching PBG play Mario Party 2, now I want to play it again! That's still my favorite Mario Party (even though I've only ever played 2 of them...).

So I forgot Super Mario Maker 3DS came out on the second, so I checked to see if it was any good, and the reviews are...meh.

Good news is that it has good level making and all that. Bad news is that you cannot share levels online... Why they would leave this out?

...I think I'm done with Nintendo.

Going over my 3DS Wishlist on the eShop, I noticed they had a new Mario Party game for the 3DS now, and it has a free version so you can play with someone who owns the game. So naturally, I thought maybe this would be cool for us to play Mario Party together. But, alas, after doing some research...

There's no online multiplayer...

...why does Nintendo come up with great stuff, then shoot themselves in the foot by screwing that great stuff up?
