bred pokemon always have the OT of the person who hatched it, not the parent or the breeder.

No nickname is necessary, and I was going to go with a Swords Dance moveset for it anyway (Swords Dance, Protect, High Jump Kick, Flare Blitz), so no need for the egg move either if it's too much trouble.

メタモン and Combusken apparently want their son to continue the family tradition of being middleoftheroad, because the first egg turned out to be Docile. I also must have mixed up my Breeding Tools^TM (I had メタモン hold a Destiny Knot) or Combusken's IVs, because he has perfect Special Attack IVs. 

Aaaaaaand yep, I mixed up the IVs. I thought the markings on it indicated which stats had perfect IVs, but nope, they were random. Combusken's best stat is his Speed.

On the bright side, he has Speed Boost. And I can teach him Protect and Swords Dance.

Personally, I would abandon Special Attack for Blaziken and focus on the Attack and Speed.

Yeah, I wasn't going to focus on Special Attack, but it wouldn't be the first time one of my Pokémon had perfect IVs in a useless stat.   

Buuuuuuuut.... If it's not too much trouble, could you breed it to where it has better attack and/or speed with an adamant or jolly nature (preferably adamant if you can only get good speed)?

Yeah, don't worry. Combusken has perfect Speed IVs. I don't have too much else to do in X, having finished the 'dex and the Looker sidequest (Lookerrrrrrr), so I can do something like get a bunch of Torchic eggs at once and then run around.

...I still haven't gotten the Egg hatching O-Power from Mr. Bonding. I'm the Champion, I completed the friggin' National Dex, I'm an ace detective('s ace partner), and I look fancy as hell, how much more style does he need?!

...Jokool, we've reached a Problem Situation. I finally got a Jolly Torchic. However, apparently the event Torchic didn't actually have maxed out Speed...meaning its best IVs still lie in Special Attack. And given how many Eggs I've bred...

I'll take what you can get.

Well, good news: I (fucking finally) got a female Torchic with Jolly. She has perfect Speed. This means that, in theory, I can breed her with my male Mawile that has perfect Attack IVs, giving the Torchic an Everstone to pass down the Jolly Nature, give Jaws (said Mawile) the Attack Power item that I can't be arsed to look for right now, and voila!

...Jesus christ, I'm never competitive battling if this is what it takes to have a shot. @_@

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I finally got a Jolly 31 Attack IV Torchic! ...Please say this is good enough. I mean, I have one more Egg from Jaws and Torchic, but I really don't want to run around with Eggs until the game decides to take Torchic's Speed IV for the Egg and decides to give it the Hidden Ability.
