Re: Poké Park [v2]
No, I got X because my mom got me a X preorder card at Target, forgetting that I already had a Y preorder at GameStop.
To this day, there is a Pokémon Y version at GameStop sitting there, collecting dust.

I choose Fennekin and it has a nature that reduces speed at the benefit of raising Sp Def.

Meh, that's kinda a bad nature. For Fennekin.Truthseeker4449 wrote:I choose Fennekin and it has a nature that reduces speed at the benefit of raising Sp Def.

It's female :D so I'll take my chances. I can always breed another later and raise it.

Exactly. A good nature would lower its useless Attack.Marth wrote:WHICH IS TIED FOR ITS SECOND-HIGHEST BASE STAT

Re: Poké Park [v2]
But it's better then lowering its already low Defense and/or HP :I

Re: Poké Park [v2]
Well, it isn't gonna be able to take many physical attacks, regardless of its individual Defense. And no nature lowers or raises HP.Marth wrote:But it's better then lowering its already low Defense and/or HP :I

Re: Poké Park [v2]
I stand with Arcturus on this one, I tend to value offense and speed over defense. And it's usually my luck that I get the natures that lower speed...

Re: Poké Park [v2]
Pidgey is pretty good, able to learn a Dragon-type move (Twister) and has a good amount of Flying-type moves. However, its bases are physical attack-aligned where most of its moves are special.
Fletchling is good if you want to break away from they Normal/Flying types (on evolution, it becomes Fire/Flying). Its bases are more in-line with being a physical attacker. It also learns Steel Wing and Brave Bird, two good moves (in my opinion) and gets Fire as an additional offensive type. However, it suffers a 4x weakness to Rock-type moves, and can't strike back well against its Rock weakness until level 55 (where it learns the afformentioned Steel Wing).

Re: Poké Park [v2]
Hmm... I already knew I needed a counter against rock type, but now it becomes more important since Fletchling appeals to me more.

Re: Poké Park [v2]
Get the event Torchic.
Evolve it.
You have a counter to Rock-types.
