you shiny people...(still without a shiny, though i haven't played Pokémon for a while now and still hasn't beaten Y even though it's been a little over a month...)

Chain fishing is actually a very easy way to find shinies.

To do it successfully, you must get a Pokémon with Sticky Hold or Suction Cups. Have said Pokémon lead your party.

Find a body of water with rocks nearby--that actually decreases the chances of your chain breaking. Be sure to stand close enough to the rock that the bobber is on the adjacent tile to the rock.

Chain fishing is how I caught my Gyarados, Carvanha, and Relicanth. :3

EDIT: And I just caught a shiny Chinchou. :3

I used to Chain Fish. My longest streak was 47--Not once did I reel in a Shiny. :/

I got a shiny Alomomola on my second reel when I tried chain fishing but I accidentally ran away ;-;

The only time I've ran away from a Shiny was a Shiny Wingull, back before I even knew about Shinies.

But seriously, only 1 like to go before I make TPPS history! Kindly ignore the fact that I break the record each time I get a like.

I have never run away from a shiny. I have accidentally knocked out two and one killed herself. :/
