Re: Lets Player Lux and the Curious Village: Part 5
hmm... good point,
anyway, I should probably start that in my LP of the layton prequels, especially when I do the movie, as we both have it...
that way, you can learn how to solve the puzzles if you ever get the games...
BTW, is this the PAL rom? As the series tends to have 3-4 puzzles that differ between NTSC, PAL, and japan(but you probably already knew that).

Since my rom had Digital Digits instead of Clock Hands, it's the North America Rom :D

- Part 7: Angry Fat Men:
Layton's Notes time!- Looking for the Inn:
- Some rascal has made off with the crank to the village drawbridge. For the moment, it seems that we are unable to leave St. Mystere. Though we're still out looking for that cat, I've decided we should make lodging arrangements before it gets too late. I recall seeing an inn around the village entrance.
Luke: We'd better get back to searching for Claudia, Professor.
Gee thanks for cutting me off! -is writing down more in Layton's notebook-- Back to Chasing Claudia:
- We've succeeded in procuring rooms for the night, but the town's only inn is undergoing renovations. As such, we'll be staying in the attic. At least I know we'll be safe; the innkeeper is a sturdy woman who no doubt knows how to wield a rolling pin when need be. Now back to looking for that cat...
feed it Lukereturn it to Lady Dahlia
Yep, solving puzzles is the only way to get by here. That's what the villagers value most. So, how about a puzzle right now? A little practice will keep you from embarrassing yourselves in front of others later. As a die-hard nonconformist myself, I'm a sucker for any puzzle where you need to find the odd man out.- PUZZLE NO. 017: Five-Card Shuffle:
Easy right? The answer is clearly....- Answer:
-is given a scrap of painting- Huh, cool! Now let's get a cat! OH NO ANGRY FAT MAN!
Dude, what's the matter? You flunk writing class thanks to that bad metaphor?
Pauly: What's that? Why am I angry, you ask? WHY AM I ANGRY?! Lend me an ear, will you, guy? There are these three bozos in town, and we just can't STAND each other! It's so bad that none of us wanna see each other's ugly mugs, but St. Mystere ain't a big place, right? Sometimes we cross paths on the way to work, and just like that, BAM! Time for a screaming match! I sure do wish we could find a way to keep from bumping into each other in the mornings. Hang on now, you look like you got a good head on your shoulders. Do a guy a favor and help me with this.- PUZZLE NO. 020: Unfriendly Neighbors:
- Oh man, this puzzle always gets me stuck... T~T
- Answer:
...I only used two hints or else it would have taken me way too long... o3o
Pauly: Oh, this time I'm just LIVID! It's just TOO MUCH to take! The needle on my wrath meter is completely buried! Why am I so worked up, you ask? It's this blased puzzle! I've been trying to work it out since yesterday! i just can't get it, and it has me so steamed, I can't sleep! YOU STUPID JERK OF A PUZZLE! Come here and take a look, will you?- PUZZLE NO. 021: Pill Prescription:
This one is nothing compared to the other one :D- Answer:
aaaaand he gave me a machine part :T
What's this?! And old lady is pointing towards some direction? Better talk to her!
Agnes: A white cat? Ah yes, it ran over that way, toward the park. And may I ask, what are you planning on doing with it once you find it?
Layton: We are going to take it back to Lady Dahlia. It's her cat, and she's asked us to bring it back to her.
Agnes: Ha ha ha! And you're going to try and catch that cat bare-handed? Oh, good heavens! That's a bit naive, don't you think? Listen here, cats love treats, so try luring it over with some food!
That's rubbish, nobody would be dumb enough to be -distracted by sandwich and runs off-
Layton: What do you suggest?
Agnes: I've got some old fish bones around here that I'm sure the little thing would go wild over. I'd be happy to give them to you if you solve this puzzle for me!- PUZZLE NO. 022: Pigpen Partitions: Picarats:
Due to Lux running off, we will use this time for a break, please enjoy u.u
- The Inn:
- CRAP FORGOT TO TAKE THE PIC AND NOW ITS LOST!!!!!
Layton: Hmm, the place is still rather empty, isn't it?
Luke: My room is barren! I need furniture right away!- Items:
Lacquered Stool: Luke: This stool looks like it wouldn't be very comfy to sit on.
