Let's Play Let's Post!

So due to ~*~issues*~ with Internet connection now that I've gotten home, and the sheer amount of time that I have to dedicate to it, I'm not exactly sure how my Animal Crossing LP will turn out. I'm still at least writing down basic scripts and taking screenshots whenever I play, but with the limited time I have already, the upkeep of doing this everyday, and how far behind I am, I'm not sure I can carry through with my original plan.

Do what you think you can handle, I'm sure it will be great!

Question about monitization: Nintendo makes you give them a good 30/40% of the money you make off of videos of Nintendo games (at least, the videos they don't take down). Now do they just do this for Nintendo games (i.e. games made by Nintendo (like Mario games)), or do they do this for any game on a Nintendo system (i.e. Wii U or 3DS)?

I've been doing some vocal exercises to get it under control, sometimes works, others not so much ^^;

as for the sound, I was just exhausted at that point, more than half of my play time was spent going after that bag and I was still trying to keep up commentary, basically I was burnt out at that point (also at one point my dog started perking up so I tried to keep going while listening to see if I could hear what he heard)

aaaaaaaaaanyway, I'm editing something and wanted to ask, about how long is too long/too short for an episode?

my videos were 15 minutes, but now I do 45 minutes to an hour, so IDK.

Eh.... I'm usually one who doesn't care to much about video length as long as it's entertaining. I would say bare minimum should be 15 minutes, maximum should be fine at 45 minutes.

It all depends on what you're doing. I've seen videos from around 5 minutes (PewDiePie does this a lot, but there's a ton of editing and it's usually for small/quick games) to 2 or 3 hours long (Nerd3 recently did a (I think?) 3+ hour video in GTA V for his 2,000,000 Subscribers special).

My opinion is that around 10 to 20 minutes is usually good for most videos. If you're doing a full LP of a game, or if there's a lot of content to one game, around 30 minutes to an hour for each part is pretty good too. Well over an hour is a bit too much for one video and probably should be edited into multiple videos (unless it's for a one time special thing). Less than 5 minutes usually isn't long enough and leaves someone like me wanting more.
