Hasn't that been on the list for quite a while?Talked about closing Guantanamo Bay;
While I like the idea on the surface, I can't help but ask where are we getting the funding from? And I hope the answer isn't federal funding.Called for free community college;
*snickers* Our infrastructure doesn't need strengthening, it needs replacing. I would much rather see federal money going towards building replacement bridges than free community college 'cause a lot of the existing structures are just barely standing and sucking money down the drain.Talked about strengthening our infrastructure;
What's his definition of "open internet"?Talked about increasing internet access (pls ;A;) and advocated for an open internet;
First President to use the word "transgender" in a SOTU (!!), as well as "lesbian" rather than just "gay", and "bisexual," all while advocating for a more accommodating America;
How did he propose cracking down on it? If he's proposing cutting back on emissions even more, I would just like to point out that it'll be at least a decade before those cars become the normal thing. Even in my wealthy county, a lot of people still drive cars from the late 90s to about the mid 00s.Talked about acknowledging climate change and cracking down on it big time;

Re: Pit Stop News Desk
So anyone with a computer of some sort running Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 (excluding all enterprise versions) will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, but apparently the offer only lasts for the first year of release. Thoughts on that? I'm personally thrilled and hesitant at the same time. Thrilled because it's free, hesitant because I don't really know what's going to be in Windows 10, apart from supposed fixes for Windows 8 problems.

My brother has looked into it, and says that Windows 10 would be a nice deal (especially compared to Windows 8), so I think he was trying to tell us that we should do it!

Excellent! I was all worried I'd be stuck with 8.1 until this laptop wore out.
And from what I know of press releases/articles/the technical preview, the biggest features are:
From what I've seen, it seems to take all the best features of Windows 7 (user-friendly, start menu, simplicity) and Windows 8 (customization, intended compatibility with multiple devices) and makes them work together. I'm actually really excited for it.
And from what I know of press releases/articles/the technical preview, the biggest features are:
- A completely new browser called Spartan to replace IE (finally);
- The start menu is back, with the Metro view integrated;
- Metro apps open as windows and are designed to be used on all devices;
- Cortana (a voice-controlled digital assistant, like Siri) is now on the desktop;
- You can run multiple desktops (a main one, and ones in the background, so you can multitask better);
- A new notification system for all your apps;
- 2-in-1 laptops (ones that flip or remove the keyboard to become a tablet) can now detect the change to a tablet and adjust the layout accordingly.

Metro View? Is that the pain in the butt start menu-esqu thing that pops up when I strike the Windows Key?
Wooh, I actually started a conversation here!

Yes, it feels like a whole different operating system meant for mobile phones and tablets was stitched into awkward places in the regular operating system. But now it looks like they've got it worked out.

If it'll give me easy access to the last 5 programs I used, then I suppose I'll be able to at least tolerate the operating system.

I'm cautious
Took me forever to get my recording set up to work and I don't know if similar drivers will work

I actually heard about this a while ago. I'm also torn on it (even though I don't have a computer at the moment and have never even used a computer with anything newer than Vista (and I haven't even used Vista in years)).
Yeah, 10 sounds good, but what if there's a lot of issues with it at first? And how will the update affect your stuff, like games and important files (although this thought is probably coming from the fact that I've never upgraded Windows, so I'm clueless about the process).

At first I didn't care because I didn't know who he was, but now knowing he was part of Rooster Teeth, it now feels much more personal... Still not sure what exactly he did though.
Also when did you start following Rooster Teeth, Caprizant?
EDIT: Just found out he was part of the RvB and RWBY production team.

I didn't. I read about him before, having several friends who do follow Rooster Teeth, and found him a genuinely inspirational person. I heard about his ill health and wanted to follow news about his condition.
