Lap 27 we have our first caution. A competition caution. Not sure what that means.

There's been an accident on Pit Road! Lap 36, the #43 started pulling away, however the gas can was not disengaged from the car and so the car pulled the fuel boy off his feet and then the fuel can came out and was thrown into the car ahead of it.

It doesn't appear anyone was injured, but still a dangerous situation when you start throwing fuel cans around on pit road.

It hasn't really been the only fuel can accident this year, there's been a problem with the cans not sealing themselves when being disconnected from the car and so dump fuel all over the place. The fuel is then typically ignited by something, like a hot lug nut or a spark from putting the lug nuts on or off. The car itself can also provide enough heat for ignition.

Those are usually done when rain happens sometime during the race week to check on tire wear and stuff.

So what I'm hearing is that Casey Cane has gotten a free pass to the race for the chase despite having missed most of the races so far. This goes against the rules that NASCAR set out at the beginning of the year, so several times, are filing a lawsuit.

In other news, Kyle Bush won today's race at Sonoma after being out most of the season with a broken leg at Daytona.

Yeah domestic issues against his wife, by the sounds of it, plenty to actually get him behind bars.

I know Kurt Bush got suspended for a while because his girlfriend accused him of beating him, but still hadn't heard of Kasey getting suspended or anything like that.

Ironic? I've never seen it before. The paint job I remember is the Dupont Flames.

This was his first paint scheme for Dupont, from 1992 to 2000. I have a diecast of it.

Went to bed at lap 100. Missed a wild finish! Dale Jr. won the race, but there was a very scary moment with the #3...

Apparently 13 fans in the stands were also injured, though 8 of them declined any medical attention. 4 were treated on track, and 1 was taken to a hospital, but is in stable condition, and it was announced at 4:55 a.m. ET that the individual had been released.
