Better question: WHY IS IT SO FRICKING COMPLICATED TO UNLOCK REGIGIGAS IN OMEGA RUBY/ALPHA SAPPHIRE???

Imagine Godzilla.Cap'n Jack wrote:Okay, but WHAT'S AN ULTRA BEAST?
Now imagine Godzilla terrorized the whole world, and not just Japan.
Also imagine Godzilla came from another dimension.
That's an Ultra Beast.

You mean there's more to it than just getting the Regis?jokool wrote:Better question: WHY IS IT SO FRICKING COMPLICATED TO UNLOCK REGIGIGAS IN OMEGA RUBY/ALPHA SAPPHIRE???

Not...much more, if I recall correctly. You just have to make sure you name Regice, and rhen give it a Nevermelt Ice or something. After getting all the Regis, apparently you have to wait a day before Regigigas will appear.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Looking the page on the Island Cave, Regice does have to be nicknamed, must be holding a Casteliacone, a Never-Melt Ice, an Icy Rock, or a Snowball. It also must not be night.
Also I haven't listed my team yet

- Spoiler:
Pipipek ♂ Lv 12
Magnemite Lv. 12
Seal ♂ Lv. 13
I'm Abra hunting in the first city. I feel myself wanting a Pyschic type, though I'm not certain if it'll be Abra. As for my starter, I may rename him Neptune later. I wanted the cat, but my sister already choose him and in the interest of being different, I fell back on my good old water types.
I've changed Ayumi's appearance so that she has long straight brown hair with swept bangs. She has black knee-high socks, black shorts, and a white tee shirt. She also has a white hat. I love this appearance so much more than before.

I guess it's not that complicated, but...why have that extra crap (nickname, holding something)?

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Still doesn't hold a candle to how infuriating unlocking Power Construct is.
Basically, you gotta collect all 95 Zygarde Cells and all 5 Zygarde Cores. They're spread throughout Alola, and some are only available during the day or night. I've gotten 99 of them, and I've spent a good chunk of today looking for that last one. WHICH I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND.
So yeah, this is the kind of thing which is frustrating even with a walkthrough.

I believe it's to have special emphasis on the "ice" portion. Remember that Regigigas was always found in cold places, which...aren't exactly present in Hoenn...jokool wrote:I guess it's not that complicated, but...why have that extra crap (nickname, holding something)?

All that to have an ability that's effective for when you aren't facing two specific Pokémon...Charles wrote:Still doesn't hold a candle to how infuriating unlocking Power Construct is.

Re: Poké Park [v6]
Finished the first trial and I think I can share my thoughts of the game so far
Things I like
-You can now modify your party on the spot when you have 6 pokemon and you catch a 7th, like in XY but with all Pokemon. You can also view the summary before you do this.
-Diverse Population of Pokemon, I'm still on Route 2 and I've caught many Pokemon while continuing to find more. It appears each part of a route can have it's own population.
-Character customization
-Rotom's map, I'm on the fence about the way point thing, but I do like the overhead view of the world around me.
-Everybody has a 3D sprite that has a command animation in battle
-The world seems to have more than just a bunch of houses collectively called a city or town. There's also the supporting structures and apparently everybody has a pickup.
-Pokemon no longer need to be in your party to trade with NPCs.
*The Fresh Objective, instead of 8 Badges, each island has a challange and at least in the first one, adds unique gameplay.
Things I don't like or just don't really care for.
-A somewhat of a "dumbing" down of the game overall. On the plus side, it's much more friendly to new players, especially young ones. To an experienced player like me, it feels like a nusence. Though as much as I complain about it now, at one point years ago I wished there was more guidance and liked FireRed's help system.
-Pokédex registration takes longer than I think should to run through it's animation.
-Wanna go through a door, mash A because apparently you're now too cool to run through doors like you have in years past.
-Team Skull feels like the least villainous team yet. More like a wanna be gangsters with a heavy amount of hip-hop. Granted I've only beat the crap out of them twice so far so that may change once things get serious.
-The giving animation has poor timing. Here let me give you something, leave it in thin air, then you reach over to grab it and put in your bag.
-Not a fan of the screen darking as you approach trainers, but the game has probably been due for a major graphical overhaul for some time now.
Is this still a mash A to win kind of game? It's not a main series Pokemon game if it isn't and in my opinion more so since mashing A to open a door is mandatory.can you tell that really pisses me off However this is a fresh take that throws away the old style formula and coupled with the varied selection of Pokemon from so early in the game, offers an experience that I feel Lux and jokool won't regret.

Meanwhile my Starter has evolved and my progress hasn't changed much, meaning I'm overleveled. Just crushed the rival with a team at Lv 18.
