I think after we get the villain team and any new major mechanics, I'm shutting myself off from info. I don't want to go in knowing, like, two-thirds of the Pokémon like we got with X and Y.

Part Fairy is a big possibility, given the association between Fairy types and the moon. Maybe Fairy/Dark?
As far as the Sun legendary goes, it's definitely at least part Fire. I can't think of many other types to go with that except maybe Normal, but we've already had a Fire/Normal feline in the current gen. So yeah, probably pure Fire. :B

re: M-Ho-Oh and M-Lugia, I'm not entirely how that makes sense. M-Lunatone and M-Solrock, sure. The only real link between Ho-Oh and sun is "Fire", and the only link between Lugia and the moon is that they're white.

Makes about as much sense than OR getting the "red" box legends and AS the "blue" ones.
Also, Lugia is the guardian of the sea, and summoned with the Tidal Bell in SoulSilver. What causes the tides? Oh yeah, that's right...the moon.
