I have achieved Naval Supremacy in the Mediterranean Sea in my free-for-all game. Morocco's two battleships were destroyed without causing a mere scratch to my own.

I had to grind in the Desert Temple in IX.

Except you still had to grind in VIII, except instead of levels, you grinded for spells to enhance your stats or items to get spells to enhance your stats or cards that you could turn into items that you could turn into spells to enhance your stats.

All and all, that game should be over within a week. France has been nearly wiped off the map and aside from a single battleship, has no fighting force to speak of. Morocco's military has also been obliterated and my takeover will begin shortly. Great Britain remains a threat, but I will soon be destroying it's navy while my Russian ally takes out the ground forces.

Amusingly, I'm not aware of a single airplane being built so far despite this game having the air pack. Maybe it's my Naval Ancestry, but it would appear that the Naval Pack is a far better suit for me.

yeah, that was a flaw with the game, had they implemented a better system on top of the level scaling I would think it was the best JRPG in existence, because:
A: the story was decent
B: no absurdly high level cap
C: the characters were fleshed out
D: the game had an EPIC soundtrack on par with pokemon gold and silver(the best RPG soundtrack IMO).
E: squall is somehow met with a GOOD reception when he is suddenly voicedin Kingdom Hearts
