Bunny didn't get it for 3D for Christmas, so we don't have both games, therefore we won't be getting the CD. Which is OK, because me and joltik only really wanted the Xenoblade songs, and some others that I can't remember right now, and we could just buy that games CD.

Truth in I've got a problem thread wrote:This morning was so bad... There were nasty wrecks of all types everywhere. There were buses stuck in ditches, some for hours with kids still on board. Other buses were stuck at the bottom of hills they were unable to climb even with chains and couldn't turn around due to lack of space.

Roads were barely passable, sometimes only by following a snow plow at 25 mph or less. Commutes took hours for the teachers, half of whom come from West Virginia. Some schools had to accept students with less than skeleton staff. One school only had a vice principal, two secretaries, and a few cafeteria staff. Another had even less than that.

Turns out the administrative people made the decision not to delay at 4:00 am, an hour before the snow started and two hours before they're supposed to make the call. At 6:00 am transportation realized they already didn't have enough drivers to efficiently operate, yet school was forced on anyway despite the snow and lack of drivers.

Why? Because the new superintendent is young and the director of Transportation is from New York.

From what I can tell, despite only getting 2-3 inches, this is one of the worst days on record for the county. Needless to say the county formally apologized to students, parents, and staff in an e-mail at around 10:00 am.

So despite how horrible this morning was, I enjoyed my walk to school. There was only an inch on the ground at the time, so I wasn't really hindered and snow didn't tend to get on top of my shoes. Better still, the trails had only seen one or two people before me so most of the snow wasn't compacted and seemed to have offered decent traction. It wasn't until I had to cross a major intersection that I encountered really slick conditions.

When I got to the front doors of the school, I found to my delight that the way I dressed meant that all I had to do was brush myself off and still remain mostly dry.

And I did a small, I guess you could say mostly innocent, taste of winter driving as I had to drive two vehicles around the area in front of the shop. The first was a 1992 Ford Ranger (5-speed manual w/Inline 4 engine) and I had to drive it straight out of the shop and move it over to the next stall's door to get it out of the way. Despite stalling twice (I blame the messed up clutch), I didn't spin the wheels and managed a decent parking job without having to do more maneuvering than the situation actually required. though I could have backed up closer to the door. The second vehicle was a 2000 Toyota Sienna (V6 w/automatic) that I had to clean off before having to make a multpoint turn to get out of where it was parked. I found that only partially letting off the brake gave me all the speed and power I needed and again, no notable wheel slip.

So they cancelled school today as opposed to a two hour delay as they said last night. So I'll be playing with my trains.

So...... I'm not sure if I should be sad that I won't be able go to school tomorrow because it was just cancelled or happy I have no school for the rest of the week now. It would appear our New Yorker Overlords have been badly scared by the fiasco on Tuesday. They probably certainly have been flooded with complaints as the Public Information Officer released all the contact info you could ever want on his Facebook page.

I'm pretty sure we've having normal school tomorrow, unlike today with the two-hour delay.

They got a delay. I slept til 2:00 PM

I had no school, period.

So I just found out that there was supposed to be a school board meeting tomorrow. By canceling school, that meeting has also been canceled. I'm now pretty sure school wasn't canceled just because of poor conditions...

oh gosh sorry that was bad...

I wake up at my normal 5:00am time to go to school, I'm waiting for my dad to pick me up at 5:35am. At 5:37am (my dad was late) My mom comes downs stairs and tells me school has been delayed. But now I'm wake and ready ;__;
