It wasn't that different for us. The teachers didn't care. I've been in one of these before in elementary school, back then they made us all go into the halls and stuff. But this time they just told us to back up from the windows... I asked my little sister if what they made her do, and like when I was in elementary school, she had to go into the hallways. Apparently us teenagers should go through all the necessary precautions of a tornado warning/watch.

Wouldn't under the desk be for an earthquake? I guess the table is better then nothing, but did they make you stay under there for the whole time?

A couple of times when we've had a tornado/storm that could have a tornado, we couldn't make it to a cellar, so we had to huddle under a couch we flipped over/take the mattresses off our beds and huddle under them.

My designated area at my tech school for an earthquake is interestingly the locker room. Why is it interesting? Look straight up and you'll find lots of large nails hanging from the very high ceiling. So personally, during an actual earthquake, I'd prefer to hid under our very large and heavy bench desks that are supported by mini lockers. That's assuming that I don't get crushed to death by the car being shaken of the lift first...
