World of Grymoire event starts tomorrow! Recruit Reynn and Lann in this collection event - where even new players can obtain the power of gods! (Specifically, the main things you're going after are prisms, a currency unique to the event. You can obtain prisms by completing any of the available stages; while higher-difficulty stages obviously give more, you can still get some on any difficulty level, and all the exchange shop cares is the amount you have.)

Unlike Mobius Final Fantasy, which is counted as part of Final Fantasy I for Synergy purposes (likely due to Garland and Sarah, but also likely because I has an absurdly low amount of characters. Seriously, two characters are Master (who would otherwise be Core material) and Matoya), Reynn and Lann (and their associated relics) are associated with the "Beyond" realm, a realm unique to them and other Final Fantasy spin-offs. Unfortunately, due to that, synergy is limited. But if that doesn't stop you, then go nuts.

I think that difficulty rating doesn't actually correlate to what level you have to be in order to successfully challenge it.

Even at level 50 and upgraded weapons I still had some trouble with the Lann and Reynn level I basically had to spam soul breaks and my roaming warrior to win.

Now I just need to get enough  prisms to get all the lode crystals!

Maybe I should start putting disclaimers. Like, "Warning: Lief Katano has no idea how the difficulty system works. Beat up goblins at your own risk."

Regardless, this is still a really good event for getting your power level up, since you can still beat up whatever stage you want comfortably and still reap some good rewards out of it.

Which rewards should I work on getting?

The mythril should come first, obviously.

I'd nab any of the Memory Crystals of the guys you like/want to use after that, since they can be somewhat hard to come across depending on event distribution (especially Reynn/Lann's; I'd recommend getting theirs first anyways, just because I can't see another Beyond event real soon, especially in Global).

EDIT: I'd also prioritize getting the Memory Crystal III Lode here; they're real pains in the ass to get later (they will, more often than not, come from a Ultimate+ fight), and getting one now will help you get them later.

After that... maybe the major orbs? Their main problem is that you need a relative lot of major orbs to make, let alone hone, 5* abilities. Maybe stick to the 4* or 3* orbs first, depending on which abilities you have at top pick. I would definitely pass over the 2* orbs. You miiiiiiiiiiiight want to pick up the crystals for a little boost, since those are really hard to nab, but no sweat if you can't nab it - those are for 6* abilities, which you are...pretty far away from getting.

Completely unrelated, I can't wait until I manage to pick up Sentinel's Grimoire, since having Y'shtola free to cast Asylum is going to be really nice.

Completed the Meltdown Nightmare Dungeon, and, as such, can now make Meltdown!

...In theory, anyways. In practice I'm missing a black and fire crystal apiece and two earth crystals. While the fire and earth crystals would be relatively easily made up, black crystals are extremely rare, especially since I already completed the Ultima Nightmare Dungeon. I'd just need a fire crystal if I mastered the Meltdown dungeon, but... I didn't. Because I am really, really bad with magic users, and really really bad with Nightmare Kaiser Dragon, because I got a Novice ranking.

That said, I'm really excited for when I can actually use Meltdown. It deals three hits of fire/wind/earth damage (to contrast, most non-Burst magic deals up to two, including fellow 6* ability Ultima) at a 4.9 multiplier. That's really good, especially since there's no other wind magic in the game! (outside of Soul Breaks, the only wind abilities are Aero/Aerora/Tornado Strike and Wind Slash, among maaaaaaybe others)

Yo Lief do you have any idea where to get decent tank armor? I'm at level 39 and I'm worried that my gear won't be able to keep up with me.

The Grand Company gives pretty nice armor, IIRC, though depending on your level the choices might be odd.

The marketboard is better, but that could cost quite a deal of cash.

Dungeons give the best armor, but that's a lot of RNG. Also that's armor for your level anyways.
