Lief, I'm in a FF mood, and I feel like (eventually) playing through most of the main series games.

I figure that I'd go from the first one (gba version on Vizzed), then continue in numerical order (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12 (since 11 is a mmorpg if I remember correctly), 13, 13-2, and 13-3 (aka, Lightning Returns)).

I wanted to ask and see if I'm forgetting any important FF games, and also which version of each one to play. Mainly going to use vizzed/emulators for 1-9, then eventually get 10 and up for PS2 and/or PS3 (if I ever get one that is).

Nope, all present. (Except for, of course, XI and XIV (which is also an MMO).) X-2 is usually considered a spinoff, also, but if you want to play it, then play it. ~~You're doing it for the fanservice, aren't you.~~

Just noticed something: The first 6 games have GBA remakes...except for #3...

I think I read there's a DS remake of it, but was there any other versions of it (besides the original Japanese version). It'd feel a bit odd to go from a GBA game, to a DS game, then back to a GBA game.

Yeah, everyone seems to hate III...even though it's the one that introduced the Job Shift System, which the Japanese love - it's why they love Final Fantasy V over Final Fantasy VI (although they did have a boringer Kefka). (It's actually really complicated, in that III is huge.)

The only other version of III in existence is the NES original, which might feel odder.

Final Fantasy I only has four party member slots, and you can't switch them out. I believe he started the file when you were less active, but he also might've started anew and thought that the names he used before are appropriate for the classes he wanted to use. (I personally would've put TS as a Red Mage, but Warrior also works nicely.)

This. Also used the same classes from last time.

IMO, Warrior (well, Knight now) fitted perfectly since he had more HP, better attack, and OPed nearly everything he attacked (except for the occasional OHKO attacks that killed him a couple of times...).
