Oh, that was just a phase, heheh. Apparently I haven't done enough to dispel that notion. Hindsight is 20/20, of course, so looking back on it, it's clear to me that I was just lying to myself in order to feel less frustrated at being undateable. Eventually I just decided to accept my frustration and listen to ugly, angry music like Death Grips to feel less shitty.

Lacey Sturm, former lead singer of the band Flyleaf, is coming to DC in July, and I'm hoping to get tickets. She was my celebrity crush, and also the background of my phone for a long time. Aside from that, she's a fantastic singer, and now has a solo career and personal band. Upon the release of her first solo album, entitled "Life Screams," she became the first female solo artist to ever top the US Hard Rock charts. Here's her first song off the album, called "Impossible."

This is one of my favorite songs. It feels nostalgic and I honestly don't know why. It just reminds me of rainy summer nights from when I was a kid, even though I only first heard this song last year.
