Keep Beach City Weird

I figured there was substantial interest in Steven Universe around here to make a thread about it. :B

I've never actually seen an episode, but I've been an interested observer of the fandom for months. Does anyone know if there's some sort of an official channel online that I can watch episodes from? I want to watch it, but not on TV because I live with people and people make fun of other people for watching cartoons for some reason. My only option is to stream it, but I want to do it legally and through some official channel so that I can support the show.

Not for free, but I do believe that you can buy the episodes off of amazon

Oh well, I guess when I start being self-sufficient with a job and all I'll be able to watch it. I mean, it's not like I could watch much of it right now, given the data cap. I was planning on using the bonus off-peak data for it, but that's always very late and I'm usually tired when it comes around.

I just watched my first episode! :D

It was "Message Received," and it was pretty cool! (Don't worry, I already knew about [spoiltext]Peridot's redemption[/spoiltext], it was kinda hard to avoid it on Tumblr for awhile there. :B)

I was surprised the episode was so short. I figured it'd be closer to 20 minutes, not 10 minutes. But other than that, I was really really impressed by the voice acting. All this time I've been imagining their voices to be completely different from what they actually are, and the real voices are definitely better.

Also: The animation is gorgeous.

Now I'm gonna keep it up by going for a full-series binge watch. I just watched this one to get used to the style of the later episodes so I'm not put off by the early ones. I hope to be done by the time new episodes start airing again.

All episodes are 10-12 minutes, but they usually play two episodes together, kind of link Phineas and Ferb

I want Pearl and Peridot to fuse.

Just watched the first two episodes! I wasn't expecting the animation quality to hold up this early on, but it's still pretty great. I'm noticing a slight change in a few character designs, but other than that it's a good quality.

Also, I love how natural the voice acting sounds. It's not exaggerated or silly, it sounds like completely natural conversation.

I was pretty impressed by "Laser Light Cannon." Memorable lines, beautiful animation towards the end, great values, and a good soundtrack.

I'm gonna be watching a few more tonight, alternating with chapters of my English assignment, so that should help me power through the assignment. :B
