I've got a problem I need to bitch about [v5]

so nintendo took down pokemon uranium
a fangame that took NINE YEARS to make, and it's not even illegal as it's not a rom hack.
I can understand protecting property rights with going against rom hacks, but if they take down 100% legal fangames, those are basically fanfiction, so why not just take down every mario LoZ and pokemon fanfic on fanfiction dot net or deviaant art as well?

Did they use any of the trademarked names? Was Uranium being commercially sold/marketed?

Just saw my next paycheck, I knew it was gonna be small because the pay period started just before my summer camp. I was hoping for a bit more than $260 though... Not the fault of the company of course, I only got a few days in before taking off. I got what I earned.

And now I know for sure I'll be short on my next paycheck too because I wasn't sure when the new period started (started last week), though because of overtime and what not, it'll be less of a hit. Probably only $500 though...

...and here I am overjoyed that I'm making $200 a week now.

...wait, you get paid weekly as well, right?

I'm on a biweekly bias. $10 per hour, plus commissions. In a normal pay period I'll work about 80-90 hours, and make between $130 to $200 in commissions. Basically the commissions represent what I did that day and what services I recommended to the customer and they bought as a result. An oil change is $2, as is a tire rotation. Each tire replacement is either 50 cents or a dollar, I forget which. Battery installations are $4 and one of the most desired omissions because a battery installation typically takes less than 15 minutes. After the government takes its share, I usually get $600 to $800. Occasionally I'll make up to $900.

If they were making money off it, I can understand why.

Fan art in itself isn't illegal, but selling prints of fan art, etc. isl.

I can't stand how hypocritical DeviantArt is of itself - I see many users complaining about other users using their character's design or making fan art of a character they "made", mind you, it isn't used to make money, yet these same users that complain will sell fan art because it sells.

Help keep you awake. I prefer sodas, everyone else at the shop drinks several cups of coffee a day. Heck my manager once sent me to another store to beg when we ran out one morning. Naturally I did a horrible job of begging because I honestly don't care about the coffee supply :I
