I have just now noticed that Nightmare Bonnie is blue. Huh.
I guess that would make sense, since Toy Bonnie would probably be the active one when FNaF4 took place.

Yeah Nightmare Bonnie's color does look very similar to Toy Bonnie's, however neither Toy Bonnie or Toy Chica really look similar shapewise to their nightmare counterparts.

Though, it looks like Nightmare Bonnie and Toy Bonnie have whiskers, while just plain Bonnie doesn't.

Double post, but I just noticed something about the Chicas: Nightmare Chica has the "Let's Eat" bib on, like good ol' Chica, Nightmare is also holding the cupcake in her left hand, like Toy Chica...
Guess there's a combination of both for each one? I mean, the old ones were in the second game as well, so it wouldn't surprise me if nightmares the kid was having would combine both the old and new animatronics into a new nightmare version.

I choose to justify the odd body proportions via spookiness. 
The "Let's Eat!" bib is weird, though. Especially since he wouldn't see the oldmatronics, because they're locked up during the day.

The fanbase is quite split between whether it's the Bite of '87 (citing "who would be a shitty enough writer to introduce something new like this especially on the last installment" and/or the Toys - who were introduced in '87) or the Bite of '83 (citing a commercial/TV show that appears in-game that's dated 1983, Scott being a
troll and/or Fredbear being active at all and/or the game apparently being at Fredbear's.
