Competition results will be late this month; I had a doctor's appointment, which caused me to come home late, and I have a mountain of homework.

The scores will be accurate to tonight, though, because I'll open all the tabs I need before going to bed.

So, hit a little snag with that. At one point today, my computer froze, then the screen went black, and the fan started going crazy, until eventually it just shut down completely. So yeah, scores are no longer accurate to December 1. e.e

I think what I'm gonna end up doing is I'll just make the scores accurate to today and have a holiday event or something to balance out having only three weeks to this month.

So this has been dead by a year or two and there's been no mention of reviving it, it's probably about time to get rid of it. So should I just break the forum down into it's individual topics and file them away in the Customer Service Archives or lock up the whole mess and dump it in beside Dimension L?

Should we really? I wish we could revive it, but I know everyone else is busy (including me). I'd still be interested in reviving it, though. It did keep me more active on TPPS.

So if we revive it, is there any particular way any of you would like to go about the rules for the competition?

I think it's easiest if we divide it into two teams. I felt like three was too many.

Two teams would work well, I feel.

In terms of point-earning, I think posts and giving likes should be roughly the same (with posts being worth slightly more, maybe?), and earning likes should be worth the most. That way, if you make good content, you'll be earning more points, rather than e.g. spamming every thread.

I wish the amount of likes on a post were visible, I often forget we even have that feature simply because it's rather subtle (whereas on most forums, it's obvious). I appreciate the likes being anonymous, but it'd be nice if we could see which posts are liked.

I agree with your point about the likes.

How many points should be allocated for posting and for likes? My thought is a point for posting and a point and a half for each like a person receives.

Another thought is, maybe we should have the competition points be scored more regularly than once a month (but maybe not, let me know your opinion) since we're a small group.

Psst...it does say how many likes a post gets. I just liked your post, and if you hover your mouse over the green bar that shows it was liked, it tells you how many likes there are.

Not a lot of people must like posts, then. I never noticed the bars until you mentioned it.
