I AM SOOOO HYPED RIGHT NOW~~~! This is just what I needed to start midterms--
WE HAVE NEW MARCHING DRUMSSSSSSS!

They are PROFESSIONAL drums and look soooo niiiiiice~!
They sound fantastic! We have 6 new snares, 5 basses, and 3 sextets! This is an upgrade from our 4 snares (really only 3), 2 quads, and 4 basses.
For the next 2 weeks or so, we'll be fixing them up--they are technically hand me downs from a drum corps. We'll be adding some new slips to the drums to match out school colors.

I am so excited!!

I'm getting a promotion!

Everybody's having great things happen to them lately! Myself, uh... I beat a tough boss in Persona 3 on the first try, even after it revealed a sinister "healing all of its health so you basically have to fight it all over again" gimmick. So that's cool.

Thanks, but I need to clarify this now: I'm most likely getting a promotion.

I'm currently being trained and, after talking over with one of my managers today, most likely will be given a promotion, but I just have to be approved by the higher ups before an actual promotion. Everyone says that I'm the best person for this position, but you never know. The higher ups may feel like they have someone better in mind, so it's still up in the air, but if things work out, this will be a huge confidence booster for me!

I have never thought I would be so happy to be getting a C. Never. I've never been able to understand how people could be happy to be getting a C.

Well, after basically failing all quarter (like, seriously, like 52% or something once), I randomly decided to check my final grade for 2nd quarter and I have a 72. I am honestly so relieved and so happy that I at least tried a little in the end there and turned in that unfinished essay and part of a chapter assignment because I'm getting a 10 out of 14 on that essay, which probably is not okay, and I am getting a C. And right now, I am so happy with that.

I'm going to try so much harder this next quarter. Because I know I can do well in that class-- I like the class, and my teacher likes me. He told me flat out that he knows I am a good student, and that he doesn't worry about me too much because I get my work in no matter how late it is for the most part. I let myself down, I've let my mom down, and I feel like I've let my teacher down, but at the same time, he has encouraged me. So I am going to do everything this next quarter, because not only do I deserve it, but I think my teacher does too. I owe it to him, to my parents, and to myself. And I owe it to my college. Because I should not be failing an AP class right before I go to college and all my classes are like that.

Sorry this became long, haha! Just a little happy-ish rant?! Haha!
