Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- mini update:
So after forgetting to log on again (mainly because I've been too tired to remember ), Spain and Portugal look like shit now. I'll start moving my troops in and (hopefully) I should have them both under my control in a few days.
Besides that, I'm also moving a few other units around, building up more fortresses, and building a few tank units.
That's about it for now.

- Spoiler:
Not much happened while I was absent from the game, but I did manage to capture part of Spain. I'll move more troops around, plus build up some stuff, and that'll do for now.

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
I'm currently at a point where I can't make this interesting as I'm just micromanaging while waiting for the right time to make my move.
The next time I post will be when The Great Tea War swings into full force.
It is now Day 68
The next time I post will be when The Great Tea War swings into full force.
It is now Day 68
- Day 57:
Aw, sweet! 24 hours of bombarment made them surrender! I recall reading on Wikipedia that a group of Iraq (I think) soldiers were bombarded by one of the Iowa-class battleships. The battleship sent a drone out to spot for the guns while and the soldiers decided to surrender to the drone and pray that they were spared another bombardment.
Oh, Portugal declared war. I didn't really want to fight yet, but oh well. I only want the eastern chunk anyway. jokool can take the rest.
Wonderful. Now I just need to work on leveling the other half of the Ottoman Empire. My food resources are currently overtaxed, but I bet I can fix that by shutting down a barracks or two.
Looky here, two of France's providences are unhappy. If they overwhelm the garrasion, then they will either become Spanish or German. Marseilles promixity means it'll most likely become German. Ajaccio would probably be a coin flip.
- Day 58:
Time for one of my newer Railguns, Anzio Express, to take a shot at Portugal. I was expecting them to make a move by now.
Why are they heading out to sea?
Why can't I see this unit? It's within my clear line of sight, isn't it?
It's starting to look like shutting down barracks isn't going to be enough. But I can still wrangle quite a bit of production out of my country by building some railways.
- Day 59:
- Day 60:
- Day 61:
I'm just half an hour away from starting to take over Greece, bring my providence count to 96 (60% of Europe) compared to a probable 67 (40%) for jokool. Draw conculsions as you want, I'm saving a more detailed anaslys for when war is declared.
Right now, Iron tends to be cheap and easy to come by in large quanities so I'm focusing more on lumber. Though I should probably boost the production rate for iron.
Also jokool still hasn't paid his tab for those gifs :I
Shots have been fired!

- Spoiler:
Things are still looking good in the war. I think I did forget to bombard one Spanish province, so I'll send my artillery units there, and also move my troops around to other provinces.
Hourly resource numbers are looking a bit low in some areas, but it shouldn't be too big a problem.
Anyway, I'll build a few more things, then call it a day.

- Spoiler:
Nearly have all of Spain and Portugal now! I'll just go ahead and move the rest of my troops towards the last four provinces, even though I'm sending some of my troops around the long way to them.... One group is heading out to sea to get to the other province....
Eh, it'll take them a day to get there anyway, so it's still faster than just sending a few, then logging back on tomorrow to sent them to the final provinces.
Having to adjust my resources again..... Nothing seems to be an issue at the moment, but it still concerns me that some of my resources are at such low hourly numbers.....
I'll build up a few things and call it a day for now.

I take it that as soon as I finish up with Spain and Portugal, you're going to declare war on me...

Not necessarily, but the possibility will be officially on the table then.

Re: Supremacy 1914: End of The Great Tea War
- Update:
I've finally conquered all of Spain and Portugal (well, Truthseeker got two of Portugal's Provinces, but still). However...
My resources look like shit at the moment.... :P
*does some adjusting, deactivates the rest of his barracks, and manages to get everything back in the green*
I'll have to build up more to get things back in better order, but for now, I'll just focus on building up my newest provinces.
Well, it's official: It's down to just Truthseeker and I.
Okay, now that all the provinces are no longer under AI control, I suggest that from this point onward that secrecy be kept between our posts as the Great Tea War looms very near....
- Preparing for war:
First thing to do is to patrol the skies! I'll send my bombers around Germany to see what's going on.
I'll be dividing my battleships into three (sort of) groups. This group will be mainly serving as a wall around the southern part of the original Great Britain and norther part of the original Germany. It'll either act as an offensive wall when the war starts, or a defensive wall if the war goes really bad....
The second group will be mainly around former Morocco. I'm moving two of the battleships into place, while the third one I have highlighted is already in a good position.
The last three will be around the lower part of the map to keep an eye on things down there. I imagine I will probably have to send reinforcements to that area when the war really starts heating up, but for now, this should be enough.
I'm debating where my railguns will be most effective at the moment, but for now, I'll move them up to London to keep things in order up there.
My artillery units will be heading to Paris until I think of somewhere better for them.
My tanks are all heading to London. I currently have 39 with 4 more in production. I have enough resources for one more, so I'll go ahead and start on it.
I most likely won't be able to build any more military units until I get my resources back in order.
I'll be dividing up my armored cars between former France and former Russia. My plan is to use them as a distraction when the war starts, sending them into different German provinces to (hopefully) keep Truthseeker busy.
That's most of my units moving. I'll hold off on moving troops around until morale increases in my newer provinces. Once it is up, I'll be moving as many troops as I can, but leave around 10 units in each of my provinces as a defense. I'll figure out where I'll group them later.
Once the war starts, I'll probably use goldmarks to buy this Spy mission to find out where Truthseeker's units are gathering. I have a good hunch that they'll be around the southern part of the map (mainly in the former Greek, Ottoman, and Portuguese provinces) since Truthseeker's last wars have been around there. But, like I said, it's just a hunch, so the Spy mission will confirm whether or not it's right.
And that's all for now. Until next time, see ya!

I've seen you patrol other provinces before without declaring war right away...

jokool isn't insane, foxy, or a bitch. Hell, if anything, jokool is the least insane person here.
