Got the line in, but when I went to start hooking up to the right brake hose, the fitting refused to screw it and be tightened down. It just starts to bite into the threads, but once you start to tighten it, it pops out. Perhaps it's partly a flaring problem, but I think it's mostly the fittings having a none threaded portion that juts out and so there's just one layer of threads biting into the brake hose. So I have the wrong fitting on the right side, left side is fine because I was able to reuse the old one...

Wow, what a jerk move! I was originally thinking that maybe she just didn't really notice, unless you locked eyes or something. But if her friends said hi, she was clearly ignoring you.

Maybe she was trying to act cool with her friends at her old job--act as if she never worked there, therefore shouldn't know any of the workers there. Whatever the reason, not cool. :/

Personally I would just reciprocate what's she's doing. If she doesn't want to talk to you or acknowledge you, then do the same (though you might want to keep the friendly hello for the image of the store). You already know she's not a good fit for you and have pretty much given up on her, you shouldn't concerned about her. More than likely there will be other customers that'll ignore you too.

My grandma also thought that maybe her friend was actually her girlfriend (aka: she's into girls), and didn't say anything to me so that her girlfriend wouldn't get jealous or something.

But yeah, I agree that it definitely wasn't cool, and it's probably best to just ignore her as well.

...I just can't help but wonder what's wrong with me since this sort of thing seems to happen every time I fall for someone...

Now I don't really like this way of thinking. Two wrongs don't make a right. If someone's being a dick to you, don't be a dick back to them. Because that just starts a fight. Also, it's a good customer service thing in general to keep a positive attitude and be nice towards all customers. That being said, however, TS is right; there will always be those customers that are rude to you, but that's life. And under these circumstances, it's probably best to steer clear of her unless she actually comes to you and talks to you.
