What should be the maxinmum speed limit from Speers to Denver
Re: Railworks 5: Derailment
Oh, didn't see that you wanted our opinion on something...
I'd say go for the faster speed limit.
Also, fun fact: I believe I own a battery powered Santa Fe Super Chief model train set.

TIMETABLE
She's quick out of the gate.
Hopefully we won't wreck on the switch.
Note how the autoracks are taller than the locomotive.
Flashing yellow...
That doesn't seem like a good thing....
Ah okay. It was telling me I was taking a side track.
I wonder how fast Union Pacific will run #4014
Just started eating my steam.
Making excellant time.
That moment you realize you've been running with your brakes on for a couple miles.
We're arriving ahead of schedule.
We're here!
I hate unprofessional endings like this.
Improper horn use.... I DON'T HAVE A HORN YOU RETARDS
- Donner Switching:
- Horseshoe Curve:
Well let's get started then.
Slippy!
Where's my caboose?
Well there's a graphical glitch right there, the valve gear is smashing straight into the cylinder.
Gotta climb this hill!
Triple heading. At least they won't run out of coal.
I hope this gauge is reading correctly.
I just learned I can open this without feeding my fire
Well that seems to be working
Still a slow climb. Hopefully I don't run out of water.
Not looking good, I'm running out of steam...
Still creeping along at a very slow pace.
I should be home free soon.
Not much left.
Not sure why we are stopping here.
Now inspect the locomotive for me.

- Snowy Local:
Oh! I didn't know the route was this one. Seems like a popular little route.
To Eagle Bay!
Getting really good framerate.
Slipped for justa split second.
Note the speed limit.
Those must be the cars I'm picking up.
Ready to go.
I has idea for which locomotive to play with next.
Forgot that this section is 20.
It is easier to stop if you remember to ease off the throttle.
Nothing to pick up here.
Had to put it in 4th to get the hill.
Now to gently ease into the yard.
Finished!
- Early Christmas, Part 1:
Ah, that's cute.
I was very forturate to find this one route for a mere $8 (it's back at $24 now :P) $8 for a $40 route and I didn't pay for it either, this is the first of a series of DLC my parents are paying for as a Christmas present.
But before I get imersed, I have to tell you guys that there is at least one bug in the operation of this train and many people hate it. That bug requires that you use the HUD all the time.
My gripe? All of these senerios are career scenarios...
*gets an achievement*
Loading...
This is LA, I think.
Let's Go!
Brakes finally released...
I'm disappointed that I can't turn a full 360 in here.
Look at this mess.
Finally here at the main line.
Damn speed restriction...
That's a sad graphicial glitch. good thing it was only $8
Oh wow, we're going on an overpass.
This is the cab car.
It seems each time these get put in again, they retexture the lights.
That's really tight....
Speed Management Skill Required.
Now these will be useful for that one route I'm now reluant to build
Not stopping at this station.
HOLY CRAP, 79 MPH THROUGH AN INTERSECTION!!!! WE'RE INSANE :loopy:
Another station
Our first stop
Here a minute late...
They call that a penalty?
Just a little early.
Let's go!
?!
There ya go Baseball fans.
Not too fast through this place.
Another station
90! No way....
Early again. I'm surprised at myself.
I'm now eager to get the Northeast Corridor.
Yet another station.
I don't like how I'm slowing down....
Resideintal Area
My bell is so quiet I didn't not realize until now that it was still on
This scenario is very encouraging for a career.
Bring it on!
No milage? Now that's sad...
- Early Christmas, Part 2:
Excuses, Excuses.
You like to say Highball a lot.
Finally at the speed limit.
I'm a little scared now from the speed. I don't normally run this fast....
Now I'm single tracked.
Almost didn't stop in time...
So 29.13 miles away...
Gotta watch my signals...
He's here just as I'm stopping.
Look at those trees.
Wow, traffic now changes lanes. Though it's unrealistic because nobody cuts back and forth between lanes like this.
WOAH
Look familar to anyone?
Anyone wanna go swimming?
...I think that's a nuclear power plant.
This won't be fun.
We made it here on time.
Alright.

I wouldn't call it well if I've gotten so compliant that I'm not checking signals. The previous one signal was yellow and I completely missed it.

- Early Christmas, Part 4:
*missing screenshot of my lights in the same scenario I just failed*
Unless I manually set them on, every time I hit the horn, they come on for a while.
Solona....
*daydreams about the Ranger*
I didn't miss you this time >:D
Running late.
#wearerailfans
Of course...
I wasn't expecting electification.
Post Play Note: There's also electrification in LA
And I've pretty much stopped caring about my score.
My horn is broken now, I'm not holding spacebar and yet it is blowing.
Textures just all changed.
So this is San Diego.
I has new achievement, Riding the Surf.
- Tis The Night Before Christmas:
Too flashy for my tastes.
Let's go!
It's taking some time to getting used to setting on the oppossite side of a cab like this. Usually I would be in the this setup only in the UK.
I wish I had headlight markings like those cars.
Am I really screeching in this curve?
Is anyone getting on? Or off?
I just realized something, I've been blowing my horn all night, yet I'm not being penaltized for it.
Amber and a Green?
We're turning!
Let's go!
Once again I forgot to double check my distance to my last stop.
I think I found another glitch.
Ah darn, I'm a minute late.
I hate LA because of how much trackage there is.
Up over the overpass.
So I'm here late.
It is midnight.
Interesting, I've gained 5 and a half levels.
I missed the blurb, but I'm waiting here wayway.
And we're on our way.
That's a really bad overshoot.
Fuck.
There's yur blu-
And there's the other one. Yeah the weather is pretty bad, I hear lightning.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Really odd place for a station.
That sounded close.
Broke the horn again.
It's started raining pretty hard. I really wish the water would land on my windshield just for the realism. It's moments like this where I hate how that feature is excuslive to TSX.
Weather looks fine now.
Just had some lightning over off 11 o'clock.
Look how dark it got.
Where?
That seems to be the train I'm supposed to meet.
Sunny again
Okay.
Got a silver star.
- Rain, Rain, Go Way or become Snow:
I hate the chimatic camera.
Do not exceed 70....
ARGH!!!!
there's the crew.
There's more.
I'm assuming I'm clear of them.
The sky is really changing color a lot.
Late, but we're here at Solana Beach.
No wonder my brakes aren't releasing I wasn't completely in release.
I've been though here several times and this is the first time I've seen this.
Uh, that doesn't look normal.
*calls the coast guard*
Bad day for me -_-'
Tells me what the next signal is.
We're here at the summit.
I'm concerned about traveling on damaged track.
Three new achievements.
- Christmas, the day you make a baby:
Let's get a move on people!
Let's go!
8 Cars, two locomotives.
Not sure if the real dispatchers would be telling me this.
I'm feathering in notches 2 and 3.
There's one.
I have a feeling I won't be getting a star this time.
MUST STOP
Running two minutes late.
Okay.
3.5 minutes late!
*looks around*
What show?
I'll be darned, I got a bronze.
- Spoiler:
- New Route, New Locomotive, New Challenges:
Northeast Corridor, pretty much the only place in America where passenger travel by train thrives and where high speed rail is a thing.
Oh poop on a stick, this'll be a problem.
Sorry but I'm not in TSX mode there's no point.
I can actually see out the window.
The visor moves.
Interesting cab.
Not sure if you guys could tell, but we're underground.
This is the other position in the cab. Not for the caolstrophic.
Very bouncy in here. Also I haven't found the reverser in here yet.
There she is.
We need to slow down.
Pity the station doesn't show up.
She's very shaky at speed.
Used for freight service too!
WHERE DID THIS SPEED RESTRICTION COME FROM
SON OF A BITCH, DON'T TIP
I'm starting to get scared driving this...
Really fucking scared...
I think the door is ajar.
The good news is that we're early.
The bad news is that we've broken the fine china.
Ah man.
I didn't even make it halfway down the route...

Re: Railworks 5: Derailment
- It's not Christmas without a Steamer:
No, no, no, not that kind of steamer.
THIS is a steamer, Nickel Plate #765
Hats off to you if you can correctly identify her wheel type and know the slang for it too.
This is not my first trip with this locomotive, it's my second. My first was supposed to use the NKP cars I got online, but TS2014 doesn't seem to like 3rd party content (I tried a run with the G-Trax cars and #4449 and it crashed too) at the moment and seems to require a new install.
I don't have that time, so I settled for the Northeast corridor Amfleet cars. Unfortunatly just 8 proved to be this locomotive's limit and my speed topped out at 55 mph. Then I had to stop because I had to go back to my house.
So hopefully 6 period accurate cars will be easier for the old girl.
Your tires are flat.
She doesn't want to go very fast.
More coal isn't soving the problem. BTW there's a missing texture inside the firebox.
Although it is said this is the wrong whistle sound for the locomotive, I love it. It's nice and deep.
I've been listening to this and the whistle actually doesn't sound unreasonably off.- Spoiler:
This is where I made it to last time I ran with her and I'm averaging around 40 mph compared to the 50 on the last run...
There we go!
I just exited the slow zone and I think the firemass needs to be around 50%
I hope I make it around the bend.
Got up to 69, then I hit this grade.
This is not a gentle hill... I pray my water holds out until I reach the top.
I think we're almost at the top!
Now we're talking!
I don't want to slow down....
Let's try our luck!
Look at thi-
whoops.... I needed to stop playing tonight anyway.
Not bad.
This sad that the winter skin is gone.
I have so far logged 407.37 miles and 8.86 hours this Winter Break. That's an average of 45.98 mph.
My total so far is 2,058.12 miles and 66.432 hours. This averages out to 30.98 mph.
- Highly Shocking and Scary as Shit, also includes a little somewhat spoilery commentary about Diabolik Lovers:
I think I need to get a move on.
The horn sounds like it's quite leaky. Mostly air, not much else, much like that horn on that one Sherman Hill loco.
What's wrong with you?
I think we're heading northbound on the route.
Took too long pulling up.
Let's roll.
EVERYBODY HOLD ON, THINGS ARE GOING TO BE UGLY
GOTTA SLOW DOWN NOW
*my computer grinds to a hault when I move the lever to minimual reduction*
I think we're alive.
I have no idea how to describe this sound.
Scary as hell, wait my home is in hell so I can't use that. How about as scary as Satan on he- forget it.
Do I really need two units if I'm running at this throttle level?
Now it's really getting scary....
MOMMY!!!!
I am currently watching anime and driving, not a healthy combination.... Especially when the anime is Diabolik Lovers and I'm traveling at over 100 mph.
I've arrived a couple minutes early.
If you had no idea how to read PRR signaling, you would be heavily confused over the flashing green on the gantry and the flashing clear indication below the caution on the incab device
There's the reverser! That tiny thing down in that mess. This cab really is too cramped.
Finally I can leave.
Wow things are really shaking as the soundtrack in the first episode is getting good.
Not sure which is scarier, what's happening in the tail end of the first episode or the shaking of the locomotive
It doesn't look too much better back here.
I think faulty modeling is to blame for the instability at speed, the bogies are moving around a lot.
I hate these surprise speed restrictions.
Once again I'm early, this time by 8 minutes.
Time to go and also time to go start episode two.
Look an amber.
White, we mu-
be changing tracks -.-
That is a stupid question little girl who seems to be doomed to be a snack for a bunch of vampires. Just because you're related to someone doesn't mean get along with them.Yui wrote:They're all brothers, aren't they? Don't they get along?
Not another one....
Well at least I changed tracks safely.
Slowing down and pondering what a vampire means when he says 100% cranberry juice helps those with "weak blood".
THIS ISN'T GOOD
Nearly came to a stop out here
YOU DAMNED SON OF A BITCH, HOW DARE YOU
*is yelling at the vampire who just threw Yui, who cannot swim, into a pool and is watching her drown*
BTW, the scenario is finished.
So that's where the signs have been placed....
WHAT, INCOMPLETE!!!!
FUCK YOU
Note how I completely forgot I was late at my first stop.

Re: Railworks 5: Derailment
- Out with the Old:
I think Steam is taking a dump on me, so I have to resort to the older method that doesn't show my HUD. The time is 6:50 and I'm in an unrealistic scenario simulating one of the last runs of the GG1.
This scenario started with a ton of chimanic camera shit.
In the background you can see the newer loco with modern stock and the older stock that I shouldn't be seeing.
I just saw the pantograph switch automatically.
I don't think I'm going to make it on time. I'm due at the station at 6:59
7:01, I'm late.
I've been using the front one this whole time.
It is 7:03:43 and I have pulled up.
Why didn't we do this sooner?
Steam is working again and it looks like we're racing the newer model.
I think I just passed that signal at Danger.
Late again.
Well let's try and make up lost time.
She feels like she's ready to tip...
Everything froze for a few seconds..
I thought I would be seeing less GG1s than I am..
The realism is sorely lacking... those autoracks....
Oh so I'm not stuck in a little corner, there is a full width cab.
Overtaking like a boss!
Following a fellow GG1 in.
Too many GG1s...
Gotta catch up!
Dammit he must be either speeding more than I am or in the fast lane.
I wish I could finish this faster...
Why am I on the dirty track?
SHIT, THE DEVELOPER DOESN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN YOUR AND YOU'RE.
AND OH HOLY FUCK, IT'S THE MAGICAL FLYING CAR
Still hauling ass towards Newark and shaking more than Luka's (or whatever big chested girl you like) chest when she's running
You're moving really slowly.
Well at least they did put some effort into the traffic.
Interesting spot to store really old stock.
That is so steep...
...I want to yell at the person who made this scenario.
Interesting bridge construction.
We're underground now.
I've arrived, I'm tired of this monstrocity and a headache doesn't help...
Also fuck the developer.
- ...and in with the new!:
AEM-7. I thought electrics were supposed to be quieter
So this is the cab, not too bad. It does give me a pretty big blind spot directly in front of me.
I HAVE CRUISE CONTROL
Not sure how to use it though
SHIT, THE ALETER WENT OFF.
Finally!
Um... Those sun screens scould be a problem...
And I just punched the e-brake...
Why is there 15 psi in the cylinders?
And she's not much more stable than the GG1
We're late
Need to turn and burn.
My window opens!
Not reflected outside though.
WHAT IS HAPPENING, WHY ARE MY DYNAMIC BRAKES ON, WHY IS BEING DUMPED INTO THE CYLINDERS DESPITE ME HAVING THE HANDLE IN RELEASE?
I still have no idea what just happened, my brakes have finally released so we'll continue...
The beeping returned!!!
OH COME ON....
Maybe it doesn't want me to go faster than 45...
This thing is smarter than me... Much more advanced than I ever thought possible...
So I've arrived dreadfully late...
Bad shudder right there.
Not sure what body of water that is.
We're appoarching Trenton.
So this is the first locomotive I've seen that uses blended braking, that is to say it uses dynamic brakes at the same time you apply the air brakes.
Late again. I doubt we'll ever make it on time.
Oh the scenario is already finished.
- Morning was a bust, so how about afternoon?:
Loading, Loading, Loading.
Then let's get a move on.
This isn't good....
He's moved so let's pull up to the signal.
Signal veleance is critical.
We can proceed now. Green, let's open up the throttle.
GOTTA STOP FA-
Nevermind...
I hope that white light means this isn't a SPAD.
What you don't see is the upper part of the signal displaying a Danger aspect.
I can see the train in front of me...
That's a lot of rolling stock.
Finally an amber.
FUCK
*slams it in emergency because he's moving and I'm not changing tracks*
If I survive I'm fired for sure.
Yeah so accidents can happen as quickly as that.
*resets*
SPAD at that one station...
SHIT NOT AGAIN
Dammit, I must have derailed while braking so hard.
Or that.
God dammit, the light is broken.
But that train should be the one that keep screwing me over.
Not too bad...
Hopefully.
I see that SP locomotive
It seems we're running ahead of schedule.
Seems a little tight for these speeds.
Second freight train i've seen in 5 minutes.
Running face first into a storm. Also despite running at the max, my ETA hasn't gone down...
I hate surprises like this
I see, that yellow lever controls if I use blended braking or not.
Or not... it turns braking on or off..
I think I'm taking the paint off
Why am I still here?
Effecfiently at it's best.
Running late.
GOD DAMMIT, I PULLED UP TO THE WRONG PLATFORM
Late.
So late I'm being passed.
Already running late for my last stops.
I think my brakes are on, she's not accelerating very quickly.
What happened?
Well it made me later.
One last stop.
So I'm limited to 45...
Late by 13 minutes
Oh well :I
- It's all a matter of luck:
I'm half hoping it does and half hoping it doesn't. If it doesn't, then it could be more exiciting.
I've been going too slow for my tastes, but much faster will probably trigger the
*sigh*
More ambers, more dragging ass.
Took that pretty fast.
I'm happier now that I'm hitting greens.
The Northeast corridor is pretty much the only place where trains compete with airplanes. The route's biggest problem is congestion.
Not sure if I'm considered late or not.
Alright, let's turn and burn.
Eh? There's a problem? I don't see a problem. I'm still accelerating.
Damn hill.
4 minutes early.
Let's go.
I've got conflicting information. The train thinks I can only go 60, but the track says 90.
Late for the last stop.
What?!
It's going to be Donner Pass all over again
- The Keystone:
Alright. Get in quickly please.
Um...
Uh-oh....
A rare time I'm ontime.
Hurry, hurr-
Why do I have to stop here?
For some unknown reason apparently
SLOW POKE >:D
Sacking another train that's already off screen.
I'm trying to get there on time, so I'm being a little reckless on the throttle.
Small and slow
Overtaking another train again.
going to be crossing in front of him..
Now I'm being passed. BTW I hope I'm not too late.
Now I really am scared about losing my job again at Amtrak....
My totals now are
869.14 miles for the Break
17.14 hours of driving time for the Break
2,519.89 miles total
74.713 hours total
Also a link to the building of one of the most fantastic locomotives ever to be made for a Train Simulator, and it's not even finished yet

Re: Railworks 5: Derailment
- In with the newer:
*screenshot I thought I took but didn't*
Welcome aboard the fastest train in North America, which travels at speeds up to 150 mph on parts of the Northeast Corridor.
I have no idea why they allowed me to start running these.
I doubt that.
And I can actually understand what's here on my control panel.
That's the 3rd one I've seen today. Counting ours and the one ahead, that's 5. If we encounter more than 20 Acelas, this is an unrealistic scenario as there are only 20 trainsets.
What's that horrible screeching noise?
Much quieter in here.
SHIT I LEFT MY TRAIN UNATTENDED
Gotta slow down now. This is the main problem in the Acela's route, it was built a long time ago and there are still many sections not quite up to high speed spec.
Turn and burn
This is an interesting touch, there are no head out views because there are no opening windows.
There's 7.
Things locked up, but should work now.
She's screeching here too.
I'm considering turning off the HUD and going manually. It's rare I can fully read everything in the cab, plus it even shows what notch i'm in.
Two trains setting side by side.
I feel the traffic is pretty well congested
Running behind schedule
Acela really is quiet, easily the quietest I've ever heard.
there's number 8.
I want to make up time.
9
And this is what it looks like without the HUD.
This is either #10 or the one that was in front of me.
I'm surprised I'm not gain-
#10 or #11
-ing any more speed as the Acela is supposed to be able to reach 160 mph although it can't go faster than 150 mph anywhere in the Northeast Corridor.
We're running on time now so I'll slow down
Hey those two hidding back there are cars for Acela. I guess one of the sets must be down for service as usually the entire set is pulled if there is a problem due to the semi-permanent couplings.
There's #11 or #12
Uh oh.
Gotta back off the speed.
Really gotta slow down
Had I taken that at full speed I probably would've wrecked her.
Despite my best efforts I'm going to be slightly late.
Oh wow, my handbrakes have been on the whole time. No wonder she's been sluggish on her acceleration and had a high rolling resistance.
About 2 minutes late.
I guess I made it within the time table.
I've lost count.
Interesting.
There's another one.
I feel the Acela density is a bit too high despite the fact we haven't excceded twenty yet. The Northeast Corridor is much longer than the 90 miles I drive on and Acelas run over all it.
Oh. I'll be waiting a while.
Still can't leave though.
I hope that's the service I'm waiting on.
Time to haul ass.
And another.
That must be the last one.
Also arriving late.
Fuck you Po-Po, if I want to toot my own horn, I'm going to toot my own horn.
- Business Bullet:
Just a second
Just as I thought, my handbrakes are on. With them off now I should do fine.
There are places around the train where it's not just quiet, but slient.
Despite there being only 20 trainsets in operation, Acela Express has been so successful that Amtrak now has captured 75% of the market for commuters between New York and Washington and personally has 54% of the market between Boston and New York. Makes me wonder if Amtrak will invest in more trainsets.
And we're here at Newark.
Time to get a move on.
Rapidly accerating into the rising sun.
Good thing I'm not being timed... I came to a complete stop while away from the controls.
Whoops.... I didn't stop instead I was too proccuiped.
- And now for something completely different:
Gotta take a new Supervisor around town in the route called the Portland Terminal.
These are E7as. My only complaint so far are the trucks (what holds in the wheels and locomotive together), which have pretty low quality texture and are poorly detailed.
Oops, I backed into those a little too hard.
Go, go, go, go
Interesting info.
*everything locks up has I attempt to pass by the roundhouse*
Railworks crashed. My guess is that a vital G-Trax file (G-Trax made this, the #4449, the NKP S-2s, and the passenger cars I like to use) is corrupted. Only the problem is that I would probably have to redownload everything and I don't feel like doing that. Oh well. Back to the Northeast Corridor.
- Or I could leave the country:
*missing screenshot of my train, Union of South Africa*
I know I'm on the port road, but not where. I don't believe I've been to this area before.
Oh I see now, this is the upper right corner of the route. I haven't been here much.
Slipping on start.
This is the Longtown station and see how that signal cluster has the right one in the clear? It means I'm going on the righthand track.
This is a military base.
I didn't hear anything until the brakes tripped.
On the main for a bit.
I have a need for speed.
The route rejects my need.
That's a really heavy train for her and I can hear her struggling.
Nothing exciting happening.
Missed a signal, that might be considered exciting.
Close to Dumfries.
I didn't like this scenario very much.
No.

Re: Railworks 5: Derailment
- Fresh Fords:
This is the Dash 9 pack I got as part of my Christmas gift from my parents. I've wanted it for a while so I can finally do Norfolk Southern scenerios.
That's interesting, all the lights come on.
Interesting set up here. It allows for easier bidirectional running. Something that if I remember correctly, NS loves.
There's the first set.
I've got my load of cars, time to head out.
"Under warranty"
Huh.
50? Seriously?
Should be good enough.
Alright.
Just 60? Well I guess that's alright and reasonable.
I wonder how much freight trains slow down the NEC.
Aw, I just got to 60 too.
Just got through the cross overs.
Gotta slow eh.
There's the crew.
I think I can speed up now.
End of the scenario is in sight.
Using Dynamics to slow down.
This should do it.
Yup.
- Winter Fuel Run:
Alrighty.
About to enter the zone.
Impressive that the guy knows how to mod the speed limits.
Turned on the bell to warn the passengers here at Trenton.
Oh shoot! I need to check that signal!
It's red alright.
NO
FUCK YOU SCENARIO DEVELOPER
BTW I think we can put her back in gear.
You know what, I'll wait for the next aspect.
Let's hustle.
I've been sitting back and relaxing with this haul. She doesn't want to go faster in this notch and that's fine.
Well there goes the easy ride.
Musical tracks.
Look at that, blocking the entire corridor.
Clear of the switches, time to throttle up.
Froze up again.
Interesting touch.
I honestly thought I wouldn't fit in the space.
I need to uncouple from car #202636
Success.
So close to the edge.
I failed?
I must have been going too slow, then got a little extra momentum.
- Shunt, Shunt, Shunt:
Oh that's an interesting way to start.
I'm double checking.
What are all of these red things?
Why am I not moving? Is the hill that steep here?
I'm not going to remember all this...
This is a little confusing... I wouldn't consider the area I'm going to not to be in the yard.
I think there's a problem with the locomotive, I should be rapidly accerating.
Didn't mean to do that.
cut, cut, gotta get the cut
Beep, Beep, Beep
Does this make much sense?
Alright.
Not too bad of a scenario. My only complaint is not enough AI traffic passing through on the mainline.
I feel like I've seen Bob before
- More NS Action!:
- The Laker:
It's been a while since I got to watch everything load in.
Now we wait.
The train has arrived. I thought it would be coming from the branch...
We're off.
And we're here at our first stop, Rondaxe.
Self-Explaintory
Crested the Hill
Now descending into Eagle Bay at 40 mph. I forgot that the line had speeds this high.
Let's go.
I wonder she how should do on the Northeast Corridor. Come to think of it, I've never really pushed the K4s to her operational limits before.
Pulling into Raquette.
Time to drop off the freight.
I didn't forget to tab :P
Here's where I'm dropping this off.
4 coaches... that doesn't sound like fun.
Oh yeah, there's a caboose too.
Gotta back up a little more.
Fine.
This is the highest framerate I've ever gotten.
they all just barely fit.
On to Randaxe.
I like this angle.
Forgot about this steep hill.
Too long this time
For whatever reason, I forgot to screenshot my arrival into carter.
Either way, made it back to Carter.
- The Long Haul:
Going all the way from Stranraer to Carlisle.
5 minutes...
On time.
I just moved a little...
Turn and burn.
Oh hey, never seen one of those here before.
So he was shunting.
We arrived 2 minutes early and are apparently waiting on another train
And that's him now.
And of course he's too long...
Hopefully this doesn't make me late.
Didn't make me late at all. In fact I keep coming earlier and earlier.
Hurry, Hurry, Hurry
Shit
Massive overshoot.
Still on time though.
Not quite an all stops service.
Oh.
Why do I have these old red ones and he has those shiny green ones?
That's a really heavy train.
Go.
SPAD
FINALLY
I thought Carlisle was next.
Second amber in a row.
I've been keeping a close eye on the signals.
There's a trawler behind those trees and I'm wondering how he got here.
We've got a green signal in front of us now so we should be able to put this tractor into overdrive.
I don't think I've seen those cars before.
Entering England. I now have about 7-8 miles to run full throttle and see just how fast will she go.
*topped out at 80-90 mph*
Well that's about it from her.
If you say so.
- Damn Canadians:
I was going to do this scenario, but the train is too long with serious lag. But at least I can talk about the first two locomotives.
They are Dash 9s and have slightly different windshields.
Also have a single rear headlight
You know what, I'll give it a shot anyway.
Also notice the similar cabset to the NS.
So this is the BNSF Dash 9
And it's cab.
Can I really make it 23 miles?
Uh, that's interesting.
I give. too much lag....
- High Iron on the NEC:
Let's see how fast the K4s can go. Also please note that I'm techincially going the wrong way on the system, taking the entance out of New York.
I want a higher scenery denseity now due to the high framerate.
Now I want to use the 4449, but railworks crashed the last time I tried to play with her....
I have to slow down to pass through Newark.
Majestic
Gotta slow down again for this turn.
Powering down the slow lane at 84 mph. Very respectiable for a 1920's locomotive.
For someone feeling under the weather, this sight makes me feel better.
90 mph
We've reached the point many locomotives never reach.
I think the HUD broke at 95 mph.
Yeah she glitched out on me here so I'll bring her to a stop and call it quits.
Over 50 miles. Nice.
This concludes my winter play mathron of sorts.
I logged 29.06 of driving time (this does not include loading time :P) and 1307.2 miles. I averaged 44.98 mph.
I'll now reinstall the game.

Though I did have to do quite a bit of editing to
make it work since the other G-Trax locomotive
I don't own yet somehow made it in here
without me knowing. I fixed the problem by
deleting the only two AI trains in here. Right
away I'm surprised there are just two AI trains.
This is probably going to take a while for
everything to load in.

Although the rolling stock and route are wrong
for the period, the former passenger
locomotives would've been relegated to freight
duty in their later years, though without their side
skirting.
