Picture of the day!
- Spoiler:
Yes, you're seeing that right. Thanks to the determination of a female designer (so says Sakurai, at least), Samus got this outfit in Smash Bros., based on Samus' Justin Bailey clothing (specifically the one that shows up at the end of Zero Mission). It shows up in both the 3DS and Wii U versions.

People: NINTENDO IS TOO KIDDEH!
-samus pic goes up-
People: THAT'S INNAPPROPRIATE!!!111!!
AAAAAAAAAAnyway, Pikmin 3 is gorgious to look at and really funny/entertaining with the scenarios it throws at you. Unlike the other games where getting to a new area was just that, getting somewhere new, with few deviations from the way the game has been playing so far, this one seems to have each area making you learn to play differently to keep up. So far there was tutorial land which is just that, tutorial land, then there's the next area which introduces rock(which play much differently to regular pikmin since they don't latch onto enemies and instead do impact damage then just kinda run back into them making it a good idea to call them back alot) and monsters are also introduced there and they make you have to learn the advantages to each pikmin before the end of the stage (reds are fireproof yet seem to do more damage than others and rocks are stomp proof!) Third area(where I am) makes you have to learn how to properly control each captain seperately and appreciate each pikmin's qualities more(and also introduces yellow)
One thing I am loving is how the tutorials work. Instead of making you wait till the end of the day to give you "observations" there are data files lying about the world. Each data file is located in an area where its relevant to the data. An example is the file explaining how rock are unsquishable, its guarded by a loliwog(evil frog thingies) so if you have rock with you, there's a chance you'll be attacked and discover the trait, or you could end up finding out from the data file. Another genius example is the data file telling you to hide in tall grass to escape foes. Its in tall grass with a Bulborb right there hunting you down. You read the file, and then its demonstrated as the bulborb goes back to sleep, not seeing you. There's even a room dedicated to teaching you about yellow's abilities!
As for the story, its pretty great so far:

- Story spoilers:
- Koppai is basically out of food so they send your group to find food on PNF-404(planet not found XD) and on your way there your ship goes boom, yet you feel like something on the planet's surface caused it. Captain Charlie is stranged in the tundra and finds pikmin sitting around and they help him explore until he finds a cave....where he is ambushed by a monster!
We then switch to Alf(ship's engineer) who wakes up, can't contact anyone, but finds a strange signal. He finds Red pikmin which help him reach the signal which was...THE DRAKE, his ship. After flying off, and now using the ship's tech, he finds a new signal but learns something...the cosmic drive key is gone! Without it, interstellar flight is impossible! He follows the signal to a new area and tries to contact the others...and is connected to Brittany's communicator thingy where she is just lying there. After freaking a bit she gets up and tells us she was sleeping but she's trapped. You find rock pikmin, find/free her, then follow the signal you found. There you're attacked by a thingy, killing it gets you a cellphone, which you connect to the Drake to increase the range, and you find a new signal. When you reach that area, the Drake loses control again and you lose Brittany, who finds Yellow pikmin and sees you across a river. Alf thinks something from the planet caused the accident. Anyway, working separately, the two make a bridge to cross the river and once reunited set out to find the source of the signal they're getting...but along the way a data file is found...
"I think I found treasure here, so I'm going to go retrieve it...If you find this then please tell me son...I didn't make it...
-Captain Olimar"

I have no idea how I missed that post from Lux.
Anyway, new pic of the day reveals that Intensity from Kid Icarus shows up again, this time by placing coins on a Fiend Scale. Same stuff applies: more difficulty, better stuff. Also it takes place on a route map thing..

I thought they were fake too.
And then there were leaked videos, since copyrighted by Nintendo of America, that proved they were real.

Okay yeah that's retarded. I usually don't use that word, but that's honestly what it is.

Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
yeah, plus hideo kojima said he's too busy to re-add snake into the roster, yet he's in the "leaked" roster as "DLC"
and we all know nintendo pretty much disses the idea of DLC that isn't free and has greater impact on a game than a kart or a music track.

Re: The Galactic Arcade [v1]
That was one of the "leaked" versions. I still don't like the whole Duck Hunt thing, and trust me, I still don't believe it's true that he'd get in, but who knows? (Plus, I really don't like DLC, and the fact that Ice Climbers isn't confirmed.)
You know, I happen to be having a conversation like this with a friend of mine right now on facebook...hmm.

*looks suspiciously at romch*
On a more serious note, it's missing names, Dark Pit is literally a clone of Pit (he even started out life as a palette swap!), and there appears to be no Kirby stage.
